تشمل التوقعات مدينتي الدمام والظهران، ومحافظات حفر الباطن، الخفجي، النعيرية، قرية العليا، الجبيل، رأس تنورة، القطيف، الخبر، بقيق، العديد، والأحساء، والهجر والمراكز التابعة لها؛ مما يسبب إثارة الأتربة، وتدني مستوى الرؤية الأفقية في الطرق السريعة والمناطق المفتوحة، وارتفاع الأمواج في المناطق الساحلية.
وأشار إلى أن الحالة ستستمر حتى الساعة 6 مساءً.
وفي تقرير تفصيلي، توقع المركز هطول أمطار رعدية على أجزاء من مناطق جازان وعسير والباحة قد تمتد إلى الأجزاء الجنوبية من مرتفعات منطقة مكة المكرمة، في حين يستمر تأثير الرياح النشطة المثيرة للأتربة والغبار على أجزاء من تلك المناطق وأجزاء من مناطق المدينة المنورة والقصيم وحائل وتبوك والجوف والحدود الشمالية والشرقية والرياض، بينما يكون الطقس حاراً إلى شديد الحرارة على أجزاء من شرق ووسط المملكة.
وأشار التقرير إلى أن حركة الرياح السطحية على البحر الأحمر تكون شمالية غربية إلى غربية بسرعة 15 - 30 كم/ساعة، وارتفاع الموج من نصف المتر إلى متر ونصف، وحالة البحر خفيف الموج إلى متوسط.
وفي الخليج العربي تكون الرياح السطحية غربية إلى شمالية غربية بسرعة 10 - 25 كم/ساعة، وارتفاع الموج من نصف المتر إلى متر، وحالة البحر خفيف الموج.
The National Center of Meteorology warned today of a heatwave reaching between 47 - 48 degrees Celsius, accompanied by active winds in the Eastern region with speeds of 40 - 49 km/h.
The forecasts include the cities of Dammam and Dhahran, and the governorates of Hafr Al-Batin, Al-Khafji, Al-Nairiyah, Al-Qaryah Al-Ulya, Al-Jubail, Ras Tanura, Al-Qatif, Al-Khobar, Buqayq, Al-Mahdiyah, Al-Ahsa, and the affiliated villages and centers; which will cause dust storms, reduced horizontal visibility on highways and open areas, and increased wave heights in coastal areas.
It was indicated that the condition will continue until 6 PM.
In a detailed report, the center expected thunderstorms in parts of the Jazan, Asir, and Al-Baha regions, which may extend to the southern parts of the Mecca region's highlands, while the effects of active winds stirring up dust and sand will continue in parts of those regions and parts of Medina, Qassim, Hail, Tabuk, Al-Jawf, the Northern Borders, the Eastern region, and Riyadh, while the weather will be hot to extremely hot in parts of the eastern and central regions of the Kingdom.
The report noted that the surface winds over the Red Sea will be northwesterly to westerly at a speed of 15 - 30 km/h, with wave heights ranging from half a meter to one and a half meters, and the sea condition will be slightly to moderately wavy.
In the Arabian Gulf, the surface winds will be westerly to northwesterly at a speed of 10 - 25 km/h, with wave heights ranging from half a meter to one meter, and the sea condition will be slightly wavy.
