أعلن جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي وجهات الاستخبارات (الشاباك) اليوم (السبت) مقتل ثلاثة من القادة العسكريين في حركة حماس بينهم محمد السنوار في عملية عسكرية، فيما لم تؤكد ذلك حركة حماس أو تنعى تلك القيادات.
وقال الجيش الإسرائيلي إن السنوار قُتل بمجمع قيادة تحت مستشفى بخان يونس في 13 مايو، زاعماً أن قائد لواء رفح محمد شبانة قتل برفقة السنوار إلى جانب قائد كتيبة جنوب خان يونس ومهدي كوارع، أثناء وجودهم في مجمع قيادة وسيطرة تحت الأرض، يقع تحت المستشفى الأوروبي في خان يونس، ونُفذت الغارة من قبل قيادة المنطقة الجنوبية وسلاح الجو، بتوجيه استخباراتي دقيق من هيئة الاستخبارات العسكرية وجهاز الأمن العام (الشاباك)، بعد عمل مكثف على ضمان دقة العملية.
وهدد وزير الدفاع الإسرائيلي يسرائيل كاتس بعد مقتل السنوار بتصفية عزالدين الحداد وخليل الحية، مؤكداً أنهما على قائمة الاستهداف.
وأُطلق صاروخان من قطاع غزة اليوم تجاه المستوطنات الإسرائيلية بالتزامن مع انطلاق دوي صفارات إنذار في غلاف غزة بحسب وسائل إعلام إسرائيلية.
وجاء إعلان إسرائيل عن مقتل السوار في الوقت الذي أعلنت حركة حماس عن تقديم ردها على مقترحات المبعوث الأمريكي إلى الشرق الأوسط ستيف ويتكوف.
يذكر أن محمد السنوار هو شقيق قائد حركة حماس السابق يحيى السنوار أبرز وأقدم قادة الجناح العسكري لحماس، ويتهمه الاحتلال الإسرائيلي بلعب دور محوري في التخطيط وتنفيذ هجوم 7 أكتوبر 2023، وشغل حينها وظيفة رئيس ركن العمليات.
وعقب تصفية قائد الجناح العسكري لحركة حماس محمد الضيف تم تعيينه من قبل شقيقه يحيى السنوار قائداً للجناح العسكري، ويُعتبر من الشخصيات المؤثرة والمركزية في عملية صنع القرار في الحركة، ورسم الإستراتيجية والسياسات المتبعة لدى جناحها العسكري.
ويزعم الاحتلال الإسرائيلي أن محمد شبانة كان من المدبرين والمنفذين لهجوم 7 أكتوبر 2023، وقاد عملية احتجاز العديد من الرهائن الإسرائيليين في جنوب قطاع غزة، فيما يتهم جيش الاحتلال مهدي كوارع بأنه صانع سلاح وعنصر عسكري في لواء خان يونس، وتولى مسؤولية قوات النخبة التابعة للواء، ورقي ليشغل وظيفة قائد كتيبة جنوب خان يونس.
من جهة أخرى، وجه جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي إنذاراً لجميع سكان خان يونس وبني سهيلا وعبسان في قطاع غزة بإخلاء منازلهم، زاعماً أنها مناطق قتال خطيرة.
The Israeli occupation army and intelligence agencies (Shabak) announced today (Saturday) the killing of three military leaders in Hamas, including Mohammed al-Sinwar, in a military operation, while Hamas has neither confirmed this nor mourned those leaders.
The Israeli army stated that al-Sinwar was killed in a command complex beneath a hospital in Khan Younis on May 13, claiming that the commander of the Rafah Brigade, Mohammed Shabana, was killed alongside al-Sinwar, along with the commander of the battalion in southern Khan Younis and Mahdi Kawar, while they were in an underground command and control complex located beneath the European hospital in Khan Younis. The raid was carried out by the Southern Command and the Air Force, with precise intelligence guidance from the Military Intelligence Directorate and the General Security Service (Shabak), after intensive work to ensure the accuracy of the operation.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz threatened after al-Sinwar's killing to eliminate Az al-Din al-Haddad and Khalil al-Hayya, confirming that they are on the target list.
Two rockets were launched from the Gaza Strip today towards Israeli settlements coinciding with the sound of sirens in the Gaza envelope, according to Israeli media.
The announcement of Israel regarding the killing of al-Sinwar came at a time when Hamas announced its response to the proposals of the American envoy to the Middle East, Steve Whitehouse.
It is worth mentioning that Mohammed al-Sinwar is the brother of the former Hamas leader Yahya al-Sinwar, one of the most prominent and senior leaders of Hamas's military wing, and the Israeli occupation accuses him of playing a pivotal role in planning and executing the attack on October 7, 2023, where he held the position of Chief of Operations.
Following the elimination of the commander of Hamas's military wing, Mohammed Deif, he was appointed by his brother Yahya al-Sinwar as the commander of the military wing, and he is considered one of the influential and central figures in the decision-making process within the movement, shaping the strategy and policies followed by its military wing.
The Israeli occupation claims that Mohammed Shabana was one of the planners and executors of the October 7, 2023 attack, leading the operation to hold many Israeli hostages in southern Gaza, while the occupation army accuses Mahdi Kawar of being a weapons maker and a military element in the Khan Younis Brigade, having taken responsibility for the elite forces of the brigade, and was promoted to the position of commander of the battalion in southern Khan Younis.
On another note, the Israeli occupation army issued a warning to all residents of Khan Younis, Bani Suheila, and Abasan in the Gaza Strip to evacuate their homes, claiming that these are dangerous combat areas.
