أعلنت الشرطة الباكستانية، اليوم (الخميس)، مقتل 4 من مقاتلي طالبان باكستان وإثنين من رجال الشرطة، أثناء مداهمات لأوكار المسلحين في الشطر الباكستاني من كشمير، مؤكدة أنها بناء على معلومات عن مخبأ للمسلحين في الشطر الباكستاني من كشمير، نفذت العملية.
وأوضح قائد الشرطة في كشمير عبدالجبار أن المداهمة الليلية النادرة في مقاطعة روالاكوت وراء الوصول للمسلحين، مبيناً أن المسلحين الذين قتلوا كانوا أعضاء بحركة طالبان باكستان المتحالفة مع طالبان أفغانستان.
وأشار إلى أن حركة طالبان باكستان تعمل كوكيل للهند، مشيرا إلى أن الشرطة أحبطت محاولة من جانب المتمردين لإقامة قاعدة للهجمات المستقبلية، ولم ترد نيودلهي على تلك الاتهامات.
فيما قالت مصادر أمنية أخرى إن الإرهابيين الأربعة كانوا متورطين في تنفيذ هجمات على حافلات ركاب في المنطقة، وقُضي عليهم في عملية أمنية استندت إلى معلومات استخباراتية، مبينة أن قوات الأمن صادرت ما بحوزتهم من أسلحة وذخيرة وعبوات ناسفة، يستخدمونها في استهداف الحافلات.
وكان الشرطة قد قالت (الثلاثاء) إن مسلحين أطلقوا النار على شرطي مكلف بحماية العاملين في مجال مكافحة مرض شلل الأطفال وأردوه قتيلاً في كويتا جنوب غربي البلاد، ثم لاذوا بالفرار، فيما قال مسؤول في الشرطة إن الهجوم وقع في نوشكي، وهي منطقة بإقليم بلوشستان المضطرب، وإن العاملين في مجال شلل الأطفال فروا دون أن يصاب أحدهم بأذى في الهجوم.
ووجهت أصابع الاتهام إلى الجماعات الانفصالية وحركة طالبان باكستان التي دائماً ما تهاجم قوات الأمن والمدنيين، وتوعد وزير الداخلية محسن نقوي باتخاذ إجراءات صارمة ضد من يقفون خلف الهجوم.
The Pakistani police announced today (Thursday) the killing of 4 Pakistani Taliban fighters and two police officers during raids on militant hideouts in the Pakistani-administered part of Kashmir, confirming that the operation was carried out based on information about a militant hideout in the Pakistani side of Kashmir.
Kashmir police chief Abdul Jabbar explained that the rare nighttime raid in the Rawalakot district led to the militants' location, indicating that the militants who were killed were members of the Pakistani Taliban allied with the Afghan Taliban.
He pointed out that the Pakistani Taliban operates as an agent for India, noting that the police thwarted an attempt by the rebels to establish a base for future attacks, while New Delhi did not respond to those accusations.
Meanwhile, other security sources stated that the four terrorists were involved in carrying out attacks on passenger buses in the area and were eliminated in a security operation based on intelligence information, indicating that security forces seized weapons, ammunition, and explosives in their possession, which they used to target the buses.
On Tuesday, the police reported that militants opened fire on a police officer assigned to protect workers combating polio, killing him in Quetta, in the southwest of the country, before fleeing. A police official stated that the attack occurred in Nushki, a region in the troubled Balochistan province, and that the polio workers escaped unharmed in the attack.
Fingers have been pointed at separatist groups and the Pakistani Taliban, which frequently attacks security forces and civilians, and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi vowed to take strict action against those behind the attack.
