أفادت السلطات الأمنية بنقل 11 شخصًا على الأقل إلى المستشفيات إثر إطلاق نار مساء الأحد في بلدة ساحلية بولاية كارولاينا الجنوبية. ولم تكشف شرطة مقاطعة هوري عن حالة أي مصاب في إطلاق النار الذي وقع الساعة 9:30 مساءً في ليتل ريفر.
وأفادت شرطة مقاطعة هوري عبر مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي أن المحققين تلقوا بلاغات عن وصول المزيد من الأشخاص إلى المستشفى بسيارات خاصة.
ومازال الغموض يحيط بالحادثة، ولم تُفصح السلطات عن أي معلومات عن المشتبه بهم المحتملين أو عن أسباب إطلاق النار، رغم أنها أصدرت بياناً حول الحادثة جاء فيه: «استجابت الشرطة لبلاغات عن إطلاق نار في شارع واتسون بمدينة ليتل ريفر يوم الأحد. وذكرت وسائل إعلام محلية أن عدة أشخاص أصيبوا».
وأكد البيان أن التحقيق جارٍ. وطا لبت السلطات الأمنية أفراد المجتمع بالابتعاد عن المنطقة بينما يقوم أفراد السلامة العامة بعملهم.
وتقوم إدارة شرطة مقاطعة هوري حاليًا بالتحقيق في حادثة إطلاق النار في ليتل ريفر. وتتواجد السلطات في موقع الحادثة بأعداد كبيرة، وتحث السكان المحليين على الابتعاد عن موقع التحقيق والسماح لأفراد الشرطة بأداء عملهم.
Authorities reported that at least 11 people were taken to hospitals following a shooting on Sunday evening in a coastal town in South Carolina. Horry County police did not disclose the condition of any of the victims from the shooting that occurred at 9:30 PM in Little River.

Local media reported that several people were injured."

The Horry County Police Department is currently investigating the shooting incident in Little River. Authorities are present at the scene in large numbers and are urging local residents to stay away from the investigation site and allow police officers to perform their duties.
