أدان «البرلمان العربي» بأشد العبارات قيام جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي بإطلاق النار تجاه وفد دبلوماسي ضم دبلوماسيين عرب وأجانب وممثلين عن منظمات دولية، خلال زيارته مخيم جنين في الضفة الغربية، بدعوى من وزارة الخارجية الفلسطينية.
ووصف رئيس «البرلمان العربي» محمد بن أحمد اليماحي ما فعلته قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي بحق الوفد الدبلوماسي بأنه فعل «مشين» ويمثل انتهاكا صارخا لقواعد القانون الدولي واتفاقيات فيينا المنظمة للعلاقات الدبلوماسية.
وأكد رئيس البرلمان العربي أن هذا الاعتداء يمثل تصعيدا خطيراً واستفزازاً غير مبرر، ويعكس «السياسة العدوانية غير المسؤولة التي ينتهجها كيان الاحتلال» تجاه الشعب الفلسطيني، مشيراً إلى أن هذه السياسة باتت تمتد لتشمل البعثات والوفود الرسمية والدبلوماسية في تحدٍّ للعالم أجمع وسابقة خطيرة تتطلب تحركاً دولياً عاجلاً.
وشدد اليماحي على ضرورة توفير الحماية الدولية للوفود الدبلوماسية والإنسانية العاملة في الأراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة، داعياً المجتمع الدولي خاصة مجلس الأمن والأمم المتحدة إلى تحمل مسؤولياتهم لوقف هذه الاعتداءات ومحاسبة كيان الاحتلال على انتهاكاته المتكررة للقانون الدولي وقرارات الشرعية الدولية.
وجدد التأكيد على موقف البرلمان العربي الثابت والداعم لحقوق الشعب الفلسطيني وفي مقدمتها حقه في إقامة دولته المستقلة وعاصمتها مدينة القدس، داعياً كافة الأطراف الدولية إلى الضغط على إسرائيل لوقف حرب الإبادة وإدخال المساعدات الإنسانية والطبية العاجلة وإنهاء احتلاله للأراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة.
وأطلق جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي (الأربعاء) عدداً من الرصاصات على وفد دبلوماسي عربي ودولي أثناء زيارته مدينة جنين في الضفة الغربية الفلسطينية المحتلة، خلال زيارة رسمية بدعوى من الخارجية الفلسطينية.
وذكرت وسائل إعلام إسرائيلية أن إطلاق النار كان بمثابة «طلقات تحذيرية» بعد أن انحرف الوفد عن المسار المنسق له ودخل منطقة غير مصرح بها، وهي منطقة قتال نشطة حسب ادعاءات الجيش الإسرائيلي.
وأكدت إذاعة الجيش الإسرائيلي أن الجنود لم يكونوا على علم بأن الوفد دبلوماسي، وأن إطلاق النار كان لإبعادهم عن المنطقة، كما أعلن الجيش الإسرائيلي عزمه التواصل مع ممثلي الدول المشاركة في الوفد لتقديم توضيحات و«الاعتذار».
The "Arab Parliament" condemned in the strongest terms the Israeli occupation army's firing of shots towards a diplomatic delegation that included Arab and foreign diplomats and representatives from international organizations during their visit to the Jenin camp in the West Bank, at the invitation of the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The President of the "Arab Parliament," Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Yamahi, described the actions of the Israeli occupation forces against the diplomatic delegation as a "shameful" act that represents a blatant violation of international law and the Vienna Conventions governing diplomatic relations.
The President of the Arab Parliament emphasized that this assault represents a serious escalation and an unjustified provocation, reflecting the "irresponsible aggressive policy pursued by the occupying entity" towards the Palestinian people, noting that this policy has now extended to include official and diplomatic missions and delegations in defiance of the entire world, representing a dangerous precedent that requires urgent international action.
Al-Yamahi stressed the necessity of providing international protection for diplomatic and humanitarian delegations operating in the occupied Palestinian territories, calling on the international community, especially the Security Council and the United Nations, to assume their responsibilities to stop these assaults and hold the occupying entity accountable for its repeated violations of international law and international legitimacy.
He reiterated the Arab Parliament's firm and supportive stance on the rights of the Palestinian people, foremost among them their right to establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital, urging all international parties to pressure Israel to stop the genocide, allow urgent humanitarian and medical assistance, and end its occupation of the occupied Palestinian territories.
The Israeli occupation army fired several shots (on Wednesday) at an Arab and international diplomatic delegation during their visit to the city of Jenin in the occupied Palestinian West Bank, during an official visit at the invitation of the Palestinian Foreign Ministry.
Israeli media reported that the gunfire was considered "warning shots" after the delegation deviated from the coordinated path and entered an unauthorized area, which is an active combat zone according to the Israeli army's claims.
The Israeli army radio confirmed that the soldiers were unaware that the delegation was diplomatic, and that the gunfire was intended to drive them away from the area. The Israeli army also announced its intention to communicate with the representatives of the countries participating in the delegation to provide clarifications and "apologize."
