Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries and the developments in the region with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan today (Sunday).

A statement issued by the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Riyadh on its account on "X" indicated that following the reception, the Foreign Minister and his Turkish counterpart chaired the second meeting of the Saudi-Turkish Coordination Council, during which they discussed intensifying mechanisms for bilateral cooperation in various fields and ways to enhance joint coordination on issues of mutual interest to the two brotherly countries that serve their common interests.

The statement clarified that at the conclusion of the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed regarding cooperation in the field of diplomatic training between the Prince Saud Al-Faisal Institute for Diplomatic Studies at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Diplomatic Academy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Republic of Turkey. The memorandum was signed on the Saudi side by Deputy Foreign Minister Engineer Walid bin Abdulkarim Al-Khreeji, and on the Turkish side by Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Turkey Dr. Nuh Yilmaz.
