أعلنت منظمة الصحة العالمية خروج آخر مستشفى يوفر الرعاية الطبية للمصابين بأمراض القلب ومرضى السرطان في قطاع غزة من الخدمة إثر هجوم إسرائيلي.
وقال المدير العام للمنظمة تيدروس أدهانوم غيبريسوس في منشور على منصة «إكس» اليوم (الجمعة): «إن الهجوم الذي وقع الثلاثاء الماضي أصاب المستشفى الأوروبي في خان يونس بأضرار بالغة، وجعل الوصول إليه متعذراً».
وأكد أن المستشفى بات خارج الخدمة، لافتاً إلى أن فريقاً من منظمة الصحة العالمية أجلى الطواقم الطبية على نحو عاجل خلال الهجوم.
ولفت المدير العام للمنظمة إلى أن إغلاق المستشفى أدى إلى توقف خدمات حيوية، بما في ذلك جراحة الأعصاب والرعاية القلبية وعلاج السرطان، وهي خدمات غير متوفرة بأنحاء أخرى في قطاع غزة.
وقُتل 27 فلسطينياً في غارات إسرائيلية شنها جيش الاحتلال الثلاثاء الماضي على مختلف مناطق قطاع غزة، بينهم 16 شهيداً في قصف على المستشفى الأوروبي ومحيطه بخان يونس.
وزعم الإعلام الإسرائيلي أن القصف استهدف اغتيال محمد السنوار القيادي في كتائب القسام الجناح العسكري لحركة حماس.
وأفادت آخر بيانات المكتب الإعلامي الحكومي في غزة في 8 مايو الجاري بأن 38 مستشفى و81 مركزاً صحياً و164 مؤسسة صحية تعرضت للتدمير أو الحرق أو الخروج من الخدمة خلال حرب الإبادة التي تشنها إسرائيل.
وتواصل إسرائيل حرب إبادة جماعية واسعة ضد قطاع غزة منذ 7 أكتوبر 2023 بما يشمل القتل والتدمير والتجويع والتهجير القسري، مخلفة أكثر من 172 ألف قتيل وجريح، معظمهم أطفال ونساء، وما يزيد على 11 ألف مفقود.

The World Health Organization announced that the last hospital providing medical care for heart disease and cancer patients in the Gaza Strip has been rendered out of service following an Israeli attack.
Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stated in a post on the platform "X" today (Friday): "The attack that occurred last Tuesday severely damaged the European Hospital in Khan Younis, making access to it impossible."
He confirmed that the hospital is now out of service, noting that a team from the World Health Organization urgently evacuated the medical staff during the attack.
The director-general pointed out that the closure of the hospital has halted vital services, including neurosurgery, cardiac care, and cancer treatment, which are not available elsewhere in the Gaza Strip.
Twenty-seven Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes carried out by the occupying army last Tuesday across various areas of the Gaza Strip, including 16 martyrs in the bombing of the European Hospital and its surroundings in Khan Younis.
Israeli media claimed that the bombing targeted the assassination of Mohammed Sinwar, a leader in the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas.
According to the latest data from the government media office in Gaza on May 8, 38 hospitals, 81 health centers, and 164 health institutions have been destroyed, burned, or rendered out of service during the genocide being perpetrated by Israel.
Israel has been conducting a widespread genocide against the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, including killings, destruction, starvation, and forced displacement, resulting in over 172,000 dead and injured, most of whom are children and women, and more than 11,000 missing.
