Medical sources announced the killing and disappearance of more than 100 Palestinians in Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip since dawn today (Friday), raising the death toll to 250 over two days, in an escalation that Israeli sources consider paves the way for expanding war operations.
Sources reported that 63 people were killed in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza today, including 55 in the devastated northern part of the strip.
Images and videos revealed the Israeli occupation army committing a massacre against displaced individuals after forcing them to evacuate the western areas of Beit Lahiya, showing artillery targeting them during their displacement.
The Civil Defense Agency confirmed that during its inspection of a house bombed by Israel in the Jabalia camp, it was found that the house consisted of two floors and that those inside were buried beneath it with no signs found.
Mohammed Bseil, the spokesperson for the Civil Defense in Gaza, stated that the occupation forces are targeting anyone moving in northern Gaza, adding that there are missing persons that Civil Defense teams cannot reach, and clarified that all areas of the strip are subjected to targeting and systematic killings.
These massacres come a day after more than 127 Palestinians were killed in the Gaza Strip, continuing an escalation considered the most intense in weeks, as the occupation army directly bombed two hospitals, in addition to six schools and three centers sheltering displaced persons since last Tuesday.
The Gaza Health Ministry stated that 250 people have been killed in Israeli airstrikes on the strip over two days.
The director-general of the ministry, Munir al-Bursh, warned that the strip is witnessing the most horrific massacres of ethnic cleansing. He confirmed that the occupation is using modern and internationally prohibited weapons to target civilian facilities and called for an international investigation into this, noting an increase in cases of deformed fetuses as a result of the weapons used by the occupation.
While Israeli Channel 13 revealed that the occupation army is preparing to expand the scope of fighting in Gaza, the newspaper "Maariv" quoted a military source saying: "The extensive airstrikes across the Gaza Strip are considered preparatory measures for future activities."
The security cabinet recently approved a plan aimed at controlling the strip and retaining land to intensify pressure on Hamas and push it to release the detainees in Gaza.
