الصين تستثمر 375 مليون ريال لصناعة الكابلات في السعودية

The General Authority for Ports "Ports" announced the signing of a strategic agreement with the Chinese ZTT Group to establish an advanced factory for marine and land cables at the Ras Al Khair Port, with investments amounting to 375 million riyals, on an area estimated at 80,000 square meters.

The agreement was signed during the ninth Future Investment Initiative conference in Riyadh, between the Chairman of the General Authority for Ports, Engineer Suleiman bin Khalid Al-Mazrou, and the CEO of ZTT Group, Xiu Jianlin, in a move that enhances the Kingdom's industrial and logistical position globally.

The Chairman of the General Authority for Ports confirmed that the project represents a qualitative leap in localizing the production of marine and land cables and attracting modern technologies in the field of communications, explaining that it aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Transport and Logistics Strategy aimed at making the Kingdom a global logistics hub connecting the three continents.

The factory will produce approximately 500 kilometers of marine cables and 500 kilometers of land cables annually, in addition to 12,500 kilometers of fiber optic cables, enhancing its ability to meet the needs of national and regional projects in the fields of communications, energy, and infrastructure.

Ras Al Khair Port is considered one of the prominent industrial ports in the Kingdom, with a total area of 23 square kilometers and 14 berths, and a capacity of up to 35 million tons annually, supported by advanced operational equipment that meets the highest international standards.

It is noteworthy that the Chinese ZTT Group is a global leader in the manufacturing of cables, communications, and energy, managing factories in Germany, Turkey, Morocco, and Indonesia, as part of its expansion plan in the Gulf markets.
