ثمنت هيئة الإعلام والاتصالات العراقية الإجراءات التي اتخذتها الهيئة العامة لتنظيم الإعلام في السعودية تجاه الإساءات التي صدرت من بعض المشجعين عقب مباراة المنتخبين في الأسبوع الماضي.
وقالت هيئة الإعلام العراقية في بيان أصدرته اليوم (الأحد) إن الإجراءات تؤكد حرص هيئة تنظيم الإعلام في المملكة على أن تمثل الرياضة موقفاً مسؤولاً وساحة لتجسيد الروح النبيلة والاحترام المتبادل بين الشعوب، وإن الأصوات النشاز لا تعبر عن الروح الحقيقية لجماهير الرياضة التي يجمعها الشغف بالمستطيل الأخضر.
وأكدت هيئة الإعلام العراقية في بيانها أن الإجراءات المسؤولة لهيئة تنظيم الإعلام في المملكة تجسد القناعة بأهمية التعاون المشترك بين المؤسسات التنظيمية والإعلامية في البلدين لتمكين الرياضة من أداء رسالتها، وتوثيق الأخوة والروابط المشتركة.
يُشار إلى أن بيان هيئة الإعلام العراقية جاء تجاوباً مع الإجراءات التي اتخذتها الهيئة العامة لتنظيم الإعلام في المملكة بحق عدد من المخالفين بسبب نشر وإعادة نشر محتوى طائفي ومسيء، وبسبب مخالفتهم الفقرة السابعة من المادة الخامسة لنظام الإعلام المرئي والمسموع، التي تنص على «عدم التعرض إلى ما من شأنه الإساءة إلى الدول العربية أو الإسلامية، أو الصديقة».

The Iraqi Media and Communications Authority praised the measures taken by the General Commission for Audiovisual Media in Saudi Arabia regarding the insults that came from some fans following the match between the two national teams last week.
The Iraqi Media Authority stated in a statement issued today (Sunday) that the measures confirm the commitment of the Media Regulatory Authority in the Kingdom to ensure that sports represent a responsible stance and a platform for embodying noble spirit and mutual respect among nations, and that the discordant voices do not reflect the true spirit of sports fans who are united by their passion for the green pitch.
The Iraqi Media Authority emphasized in its statement that the responsible actions of the Media Regulatory Authority in the Kingdom embody the conviction of the importance of joint cooperation between regulatory and media institutions in both countries to enable sports to fulfill its mission and strengthen brotherhood and common ties.
It is worth noting that the statement from the Iraqi Media Authority came in response to the measures taken by the General Commission for Audiovisual Media in the Kingdom against a number of violators for publishing and re-publishing sectarian and offensive content, and for violating paragraph seven of Article five of the audiovisual media system, which states "not to offend Arab or Islamic countries, or friendly nations."
