أعربت وزارة الخارجية عن إدانة المملكة العربية السعودية واستنكارها للهجوم الآثم الذي تعرض له مأوى للنازحين في الفاشر، مجددةً رفضها للعنف ضد المدنيين.
وقالت الوزارة في بيان لها إن «المملكة تشدد على ضرورة الوقف الفوري للحرب في السودان، والحفاظ على وحدته ومؤسساته، وتجنيب السودان وشعبه الشقيق المزيد من المعاناة والدمار، وضرورة توفير الحماية للمدنيين وتنفيذ ما تم التوقيع عليه في إعلان جدة (الالتزام بحماية المدنيين في السودان) بتاريخ 11 مايو 2023، معبرةً عن صادق تعازيها ومواساتها لذوي المتوفين، وتمنياتها للمصابين بالشفاء العاجل».
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's condemnation and denunciation of the heinous attack on a shelter for displaced persons in El Fasher, reiterating its rejection of violence against civilians.
The ministry stated in a statement that "the Kingdom emphasizes the urgent need for an immediate cessation of hostilities in Sudan, the preservation of its unity and institutions, and the avoidance of further suffering and destruction for Sudan and its brotherly people. It is essential to provide protection for civilians and to implement what was signed in the Jeddah Declaration (commitment to protecting civilians in Sudan) on May 11, 2023," expressing its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the deceased, and wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.
