Several education administrations in regions and governorates of the Kingdom will begin implementing the two-shift system, morning and evening, in the blended learning model starting next week, according to the operational model. This aims to enhance the efficiency of school building usage, stabilize the educational environment, and eliminate evening school buildings.

In this system, two schools will be distributed within one government building after the cancellation of the evening building into categories A and B. Students in school A will attend in person for three days and learn remotely for two days via the Madrasati platform. In the second week, students in school B will attend in person for three days and learn remotely for two days, continuing until the end of the semester or the year, if new schools are not established.

This step comes in light of the significant direction from the Ministry of Education, in partnership with the Building Development Company, to create modern school buildings with engineering specifications that consider the age stages in public education schools across all regions and governorates of the Kingdom. These new schools feature innovative designs inspired by the needs of developed urban communities and respect the cultural privacy of each area. Additionally, these designs encourage the integration of the educational process with the daily lives of residents, and these schools are implemented without walls, with open spaces available for use outside of school hours, which enhances the concept of community schools and contributes to building integrated communities and education that is more connected to the lives of individuals and society.

Dr. Saeed Al-Ghamdi, the Director of Education in Taif, confirmed in issued directives that combining physical attendance with synchronous online education via the "Madrasati" platform contributes to achieving educational flexibility and maximizing the benefit from shared buildings.
