The Islamic Military Alliance to Combat Terrorism concluded yesterday at its headquarters in Riyadh the specialized program titled "Combating Terrorism Financing and Money Laundering," which aimed to enhance the capabilities of specialists and workers in financial and regulatory institutions in the Republic of Yemen, as part of the alliance's strategic initiative for training programs to reduce terrorism financing operations, "Building."

The program, which lasted five days, included (15) trainees representing several Yemeni government institutions concerned with combating terrorism financing. It covered key topics including the international and national legal framework, sources and tools of financial crimes, detection and analysis techniques, and mechanisms for building institutional and regional cooperation.

The Secretary-General of the Islamic Alliance, Major General Pilot Rakan Mohammed bin Said Al-Muqaydi, confirmed that this program comes within the framework of the alliance's commitment to building sustainable capacities for member states, noting that combating terrorism financing represents a cornerstone in the joint efforts to dry up the sources of terrorism, which can only be achieved through continuous investment in human development and equipping individuals with modern knowledge and tools to face cross-border financial threats.

He pointed out that this program represents a long-term strategic pathway, embodying the alliance's commitment to working hand in hand with member states to create a safer and more stable future.
