رعى أمير منطقة جازان الأمير محمد بن عبدالعزيز بن محمد بن عبدالعزيز، بحضور نائبه الأمير ناصر بن محمد بن عبدالله بن جلوي حفل إطلاق جائزة «الأمير محمد بن عبدالعزيز لمزرعة البن النموذجية» بنسختها المطورة، التي تشرف عليها إمارة المنطقة بالشراكة مع الشركة السعودية للقهوة وعدد من الجهات ذات العلاقة.
واستمع الحضور خلال الحفل إلى شرح من وكيل إمارة المنطقة وليد بن سلطان الصنعاوي، والرئيس التنفيذي للشركة السعودية للقهوة خالد أبو ذيب، عن الجائزة التي تهدف إلى اعتماد معايير الجودة للمزرعة والمنتج، والتشجيع على الابتكار الزراعي في قطاع البن، والتوسع المدروس لزيادة العائد الاقتصادي من المنتج، وتشجيع المزارعين على تطبيق أفضل الممارسات في زراعة البن وتعزيز جودة الإنتاج، معربًا عن تمنياته للقائمين على الجائزة بالتوفيق والنجاح في أعمالهم.
يذكر أن قيمة الجائزة تبلغ (1000.000) ريال موزعة على أربعة مسارات، خصص لكل مسار (250.000) ريال، ويركز المسار الأول على «الممارسات الزراعية المستدامة»، فيما يركز المسار الثاني على «الابتكار في تقنية الحصاد والمعالجة»، أما المسار الثالث فيستهدف «القيمة المضافة والصناعات التحويلية»، ويستهدف المسار الرابع «التنمية السياحية الريفية».
The Governor of Jazan Region, Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Abdulaziz, along with his deputy, Prince Nasser bin Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Jiluwi, attended the launch ceremony of the "Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Award for the Model Coffee Farm" in its developed version, which is overseen by the Emirate of the region in partnership with the Saudi Coffee Company and several related entities.
During the ceremony, attendees listened to an explanation from the Deputy Emir of the region, Walid bin Sultan Al-Sanai, and the CEO of the Saudi Coffee Company, Khalid Abu Dheeb, about the award, which aims to establish quality standards for the farm and the product, encourage agricultural innovation in the coffee sector, and promote a studied expansion to increase the economic return from the product. It also encourages farmers to apply best practices in coffee cultivation and enhance production quality, expressing his wishes for success to those in charge of the award in their endeavors.
It is worth noting that the value of the award amounts to (1,000,000) Riyals, distributed across four tracks, with each track allocated (250,000) Riyals. The first track focuses on "sustainable agricultural practices," while the second track emphasizes "innovation in harvesting and processing technology." The third track targets "value-added and transformative industries," and the fourth track aims at "rural tourism development."
