The Director General of the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture branch in the Asir region, Engineer Ahmed Al-Majthal, launched at the branch headquarters an intensive and targeted monitoring campaign for public benefit markets and slaughterhouses in the region, which will last for 30 days and will be carried out by 62 specialists in monitoring. The campaign includes 94 slaughterhouses and public benefit markets. It involves inspecting licenses and agricultural records, and ensuring compliance with the regulations governing public benefit markets. The management of markets, slaughterhouses, offices, and units has begun implementing it, aiming to increase the rate of compliance with regulations and enhance product safety.
Al-Majthal pointed out the importance of the monitoring campaign based on the directives of the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Beneficiary Services and Branch Affairs, Engineer Majid Al-Khalif, to raise the rate of compliance with regulations and laws on a monthly basis, emphasizing the serious and professional implementation of the campaign in the best way to achieve the ministry's objectives and enforce the regulations and laws.
