رأس وكيل وزارة الموارد لتنمية المجتمع أحمد الماجد وفد المملكة المُشارك في قمة التنمية الشبابية، التي عُقدت في هونغ كونغ، بمشاركة وزراء ومسؤولين رفيعي المستوى من مختلف دول العالم.
وأكّد الماجد، في كلمته، الدور الحيوي للشباب في تحقيق التطلعات الوطنية، مستعرضاً أبرز إنجازات المملكة في هذا المجال، من خلال إستراتيجية التنمية الشبابية التي شارك في صياغة أولوياتها أكثر من 11 ألف شاب وفتاة من مختلف مناطق المملكة، إضافة إلى إطلاق كتاب «علم الشباب» بصفته مرجعاً علمياً عالمياً تتم ترجمته للغات عدة.
وعلى هامش القمة، بحث الماجد، خلال لقائه وزيرة الشباب في هونغ كونغ أليس ماك، سُبل التعاون المشترك، وتبادل الخبرات في مجال التنمية الشبابية، بما يعزّز مشاركة الشباب في المجتمع وصناعة القرار، ويسهم في تحقيق الريادة عالمياً في تمكين الإنسان والمجتمع.

The Assistant Minister of Resources for Community Development, Ahmed Al-Majed, headed the Kingdom's delegation participating in the Youth Development Summit, which was held in Hong Kong, with the participation of ministers and high-level officials from various countries around the world.
Al-Majed emphasized, in his speech, the vital role of youth in achieving national aspirations, reviewing the Kingdom's most prominent achievements in this field, through the Youth Development Strategy, which over 11,000 young men and women from different regions of the Kingdom participated in shaping its priorities, in addition to launching the book "Youth Science" as a global scientific reference that is being translated into several languages.
On the sidelines of the summit, Al-Majed discussed, during his meeting with the Secretary for Youth in Hong Kong, Alice Mak, ways of joint cooperation and the exchange of experiences in the field of youth development, which enhances youth participation in society and decision-making, and contributes to achieving global leadership in empowering individuals and communities.
