The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the National Cybersecurity Authority, is hosting today (Tuesday) the second regular session of the Council of Arab Cybersecurity Ministers, with the attendance of those concerned with cybersecurity in the member states of the Arab League and the General Secretariat of the Arab League.

The council will discuss the approval of the draft Arab Cybersecurity Strategy, the agreement to join the United Nations Convention on Cybercrime, and the council's membership in prominent international organizations and entities. Additionally, it will discuss a set of working papers submitted by the member states of the Arab League, contributing to achieving the strategic goals of the council based on enhancing Arab cooperation and solidarity in the field of cybersecurity.

It is worth noting that the Council of Arab Cybersecurity Ministers consists of Arab ministers concerned with cybersecurity, and its charter was adopted by a resolution of the Arab League Council at the summit level. It operates under the umbrella of the Arab League Council and includes responsibilities for formulating public policies and setting strategies and priorities aimed at developing joint Arab work in cybersecurity, as well as addressing all topics and developments in cybersecurity at the security, economic, developmental, and legislative levels. It also includes the approval of joint Arab plans in the field of cybersecurity to implement the policies and strategies approved by the council.
