رأس وزير الخارجية الأمير فيصل بن فرحان بن عبدالله، مساء أمس (الأربعاء)، بالشراكة مع الاتحاد الأوروبي ومملكة النرويج، الاجتماع الوزاري رفيع المستوى للتحالف الدولي لتنفيذ حل الدولتين، على هامش أعمال الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة في دورتها الـ80.
وافتتح وزير الخارجية الاجتماع قائلا: «نجتمع اليوم بعد عام على إطلاق مبادرتنا المشتركة (التحالف الدولي لتنفيذ حل الدولتين)، الذي تتشرف المملكة برئاسته بالشراكة مع الاتحاد الأوروبي ومملكة النرويج، وبعد أيام من اعتماد الجمعية العامة إعلان نيويورك الذي يشكل إجماعا دوليا تاريخيا على إنهاء الاحتلال وتجسيد الدولة الفلسطينية المستقلة».
وأشار الأمير فيصل بن فرحان إلى إعلان نيويورك بأنه تكليف واضح للجميع لتحويل التوافق إلى التزامات زمنية وآليات متابعة، وذكر أنه «لا يكفي إصدار البيانات ما لم تتحول إلى عمل حقيقي يغير واقع الاحتلال وعدوانه».

وأضاف وزير الخارجية خلال كلمته أن الاجتماع يأتي بعد قمة السلام التي رأستها المملكة وفرنسا وأثمرت اعترافات واسعة بدولة فلسطين، ما يعزز الإرادة الدولية لترسيخ حق الشعب الفلسطيني في تقرير مصيره، مشددا على أن «واقع الاحتلال ما زال يتمادى في الإبادة والمجاعة والانتهاكات بحق المقدسات الإسلامية والمسيحية، بل وصل إلى اعتداءات على سيادة دول عربية، كان آخرها استهداف دولة قطر».
وأشار فيصل بن فرحان إلى أن الهدف من الاجتماع هو تنسيق الجهود ووضع آليات تنفيذية ومؤشرات تقدم ومساءلة واضحة، مع مواصلة العمل المشترك في العواصم الإقليمية والدولية.
وذكر وزير الخارجية أن إعلان نيويورك يؤكد أن «غزة والضفة بما فيها القدس الشريف أرض فلسطينية واحدة غير قابلة للتجزئة»، مؤكدا الرفض القاطع لأي محاولات ضم أو توسيع استيطان أو تهجير قسري، وضرورة تمكين السلطة الفلسطينية ودعم الخطة العربية الإسلامية للتعافي والإعمار، ووضع آلية دولية للمساءلة ضمن جداول زمنية واضحة.
وأكد وزير الخارجية أن المملكة ستواصل قيادة جهودها الدبلوماسية والإنسانية بلا كلل لتجسيد الدولة الفلسطينية المستقلة على حدود 1967 وعاصمتها القدس الشرقية، وفتح الطريق أمام سلام عادل ودائم وأمن مشترك وازدهار لشعوب المنطقة كافة.
حضر الاجتماع سفيرة خادم الحرمين الشريفين لدى الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية الأميرة ريما بنت بندر بن سلطان بن عبدالعزيز، ووكيل وزارة الخارجية للشؤون الدولية المتعددة المشرف العام على وكالة الوزارة لشؤون الدبلوماسية العامة الدكتور عبدالرحمن بن إبراهيم الرسي، ومندوب المملكة الدائم لدى الأمم المتحدة في نيويورك السفير الدكتور عبدالعزيز بن محمد الواصل، والوزير مفوض بوزارة الخارجية الدكتورة منال رضوان.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, chaired yesterday evening (Wednesday), in partnership with the European Union and the Kingdom of Norway, the high-level ministerial meeting of the International Coalition for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The Foreign Minister opened the meeting by saying: “We meet today a year after the launch of our joint initiative (the International Coalition for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution), which the Kingdom is honored to chair in partnership with the European Union and the Kingdom of Norway, and just days after the General Assembly adopted the New York Declaration, which represents a historic international consensus on ending the occupation and embodying an independent Palestinian state.”
Prince Faisal bin Farhan pointed out that the New York Declaration is a clear mandate for everyone to transform consensus into time-bound commitments and follow-up mechanisms, stating that “it is not enough to issue statements unless they are transformed into real actions that change the reality of occupation and its aggression.”

The Foreign Minister added during his speech that the meeting comes after the Peace Summit chaired by the Kingdom and France, which resulted in widespread recognition of the State of Palestine, enhancing the international will to establish the Palestinian people's right to self-determination. He emphasized that “the reality of occupation continues to perpetrate genocide, famine, and violations against Islamic and Christian sanctities, and has even reached assaults on the sovereignty of Arab states, the latest being the targeting of the State of Qatar.”
Prince Faisal bin Farhan noted that the goal of the meeting is to coordinate efforts and establish executive mechanisms, progress indicators, and clear accountability, while continuing joint work in regional and international capitals.
The Foreign Minister mentioned that the New York Declaration confirms that “Gaza and the West Bank, including the noble city of Jerusalem, are one indivisible Palestinian land,” firmly rejecting any attempts at annexation, expansion of settlements, or forced displacement, and emphasizing the necessity of empowering the Palestinian Authority and supporting the Arab Islamic plan for recovery and reconstruction, as well as establishing an international accountability mechanism within clear timelines.
The Foreign Minister affirmed that the Kingdom will continue to lead its diplomatic and humanitarian efforts tirelessly to embody an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, and to pave the way for just and lasting peace, mutual security, and prosperity for all the peoples of the region.
Attending the meeting were the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the United States, Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Multilateral International Affairs and General Supervisor of the Ministry's Public Diplomacy Agency, Dr. Abdulrahman bin Ibrahim Al-Rassi, the Kingdom's Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York, Ambassador Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Wasil, and the Minister Plenipotentiary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Manal Radwan.
