أكد المستشار الخاص لخادم الحرمين الشريفين، رئيس مجلس أمناء مكتبة الملك فهد الوطنية الأمير فيصل بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، أن المكتبة تعمل على مواكبة مستقبل التقنية والتحول الرقمي، مع استمرارها في رعاية المخطوطات ونوادر الكتب والمقتنيات، مبيّنًا سموه أن هذا التوازن يُسهم في إتاحة محتواها وخدماتها للمستفيدين داخل المملكة وخارجها، والوصول بها إلى نموذج «مكتبات المستقبل».
جاء ذلك خلال زيارته لمقر الهيئة السعودية للبيانات والذكاء الاصطناعي (سدايا)، حيث اطّلع على أبرز مبادراتها وإنجازاتها في مجالات البيانات والذكاء الاصطناعي، وما تحقق من خطوات نوعية في تمكين الجهات الوطنية من تسريع التحول الرقمي نحو مجتمع المعرفة.
وشهد توقيع مذكرة تفاهم بين مكتبة الملك فهد الوطنية و«سدايا»، لتعزيز التعاون في مجالات البيانات والذكاء الاصطناعي، حيث وقّعها من جانب المكتبة الرئيس التنفيذي الدكتور يزيد بن محمد الحميدان، فيما وقّعها من جانب «سدايا» الرئيس التنفيذي للمركز الوطني للذكاء الاصطناعي الدكتور سطام بن مبارك السبيعي.
وتهدف المذكرة إلى تمكين المكتبة من الاستفادة من قدرات «سدايا» في تحليلات البيانات والنماذج التحليلية والدراسات، والمشاركة في المنصات والبرامج الوطنية للبيانات، إلى جانب تطوير مبادرات مشتركة في مجالات الذكاء الاصطناعي والابتكار، وتنفيذ برامج تدريبية متخصصة في إدارة البيانات وحمايتها، والتعاون في تنظيم الفعاليات والمعسكرات التدريبية، ودعم الابتكار وريادة الأعمال الرقمية.
من جانبه، قال رئيس «سدايا» الدكتور عبدالله بن شرف الغامدي: «إن توقيع هذه المذكرة مع مكتبة الملك فهد الوطنية يعكس حرصنا على توظيف البيانات والتقنيات الحديثة لخدمة القطاعات الحيوية، ومن شأن هذا التعاون أن يدعم مكانة المكتبة الوطنية بصفتها مركزًا رائدًا في نشر المعرفة».
وتأتي هذه الخطوة ضمن الإستراتيجية التي أقرّها مجلس أمناء مكتبة الملك فهد الوطنية، والتي تركز على تعزيز البنية التقنية للمكتبة والتحول الرقمي في إدارتها وخدماتها، بما يحقق تكامل الجهود الوطنية ويعزز مكانة المملكة الريادية في مجالات البيانات والذكاء الاصطناعي، تماشيًا مع مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030.
The special advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Fahd National Library, Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, confirmed that the library is working to keep pace with the future of technology and digital transformation, while continuing to care for manuscripts, rare books, and collections. His Highness indicated that this balance contributes to making its content and services available to beneficiaries inside and outside the Kingdom, and to reaching a model of "libraries of the future".
This came during his visit to the headquarters of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), where he reviewed its most prominent initiatives and achievements in the fields of data and artificial intelligence, and the qualitative steps taken to empower national entities to accelerate digital transformation towards a knowledge society.
A memorandum of understanding was signed between the King Fahd National Library and SDAIA to enhance cooperation in the fields of data and artificial intelligence. The agreement was signed on behalf of the library by the CEO, Dr. Yazid bin Mohammed Al-Humaidan, while it was signed on behalf of SDAIA by the CEO of the National Center for Artificial Intelligence, Dr. Sattam bin Mubarak Al-Subaie.
The memorandum aims to enable the library to benefit from SDAIA's capabilities in data analytics, analytical models, and studies, participate in national data platforms and programs, as well as develop joint initiatives in the fields of artificial intelligence and innovation, implement specialized training programs in data management and protection, collaborate in organizing events and training camps, and support innovation and digital entrepreneurship.
For his part, the head of SDAIA, Dr. Abdullah bin Sharaf Al-Ghamdi, stated: "The signing of this memorandum with the King Fahd National Library reflects our commitment to utilizing data and modern technologies to serve vital sectors. This cooperation is expected to enhance the status of the national library as a leading center for knowledge dissemination."
This step comes as part of the strategy approved by the Board of Trustees of the King Fahd National Library, which focuses on enhancing the technical infrastructure of the library and digital transformation in its management and services, achieving integration of national efforts and enhancing the Kingdom's pioneering position in the fields of data and artificial intelligence, in line with the objectives of Vision 2030.
