بدأ وزير التجارة رئيس مجلس إدارة المركز الوطني للتنافسية الدكتور ماجد بن عبدالله القصبي، زيارة عمل للعاصمة النرويجية أوسلو؛ بهدف تعزيز التجارة البينية في القطاعات الواعدة، وتعزيز مستوى الشراكة الاقتصادية بين البلدين الصديقين، إلى جانب المشاركة في فعاليات منتدى الأعمال السعودي - النرويجي.
ويرأس خلال الزيارة التي تستمر يومين وفد المملكة الذي يضم 30 مسؤولاً من القطاعين العام والخاص، وعقد اجتماعات مع عدد من الوزراء والمسؤولين، تضمنت استعراض الفرص الواعدة التي أحدثتها رؤية المملكة 2030، ومناقشة تحفيز الشركات النرويجية لتوسيع أعمالها في القطاعات السعودية الواعدة، خصوصاً ذات الصلة بالثروة السمكية، والنقل البحري، والاقتصاد الدائري والاستدامة.
واجتمع القصبي بوزير التجارة والصناعة النرويجي سيسيلي ميرسيث، وتناولا تعزيز التبادل التجاري بين البلدين؛ لاستثمار الفرص في القطاعات الاقتصادية الواعدة، إضافة إلى استعراض تجربة المملكة في تنفيذ الإصلاحات التشريعية والتنظيمية، وأثرها في تعزيز جاذبية بيئة الأعمال.
وبحث في اجتماع آخر مع وزير الدولة للعمل والاندماج الاجتماعي كيتيل فيفلي، التعاون في مجالات تحسين المهارات بما يلبي تطلعات أسواق العمل المستقبلية، من خلال تبادل الخبرات بين الجهات التعليمية والتدريبية في البلدين.
واختتم القصبي لقاءاته الوزارية باجتماع مع وزير الدولة لشؤون الثروة السمكية والمحيطات إيفن ترونستاد ساجيباكن، وناقش الجانبان استكشاف سبل تعزيز التبادل التجاري، من خلال التعاون في تطوير الموانئ، والخدمات اللوجستية البحرية، إلى جانب استعراض تجربة النرويج في أنظمة التنقل الذكية وأهميتها للمشاريع السعودية.
الاجتماع مع رئيس اتحاد الشركات النرويجية
وشمل جدول القصبي اجتماعات مع قطاع الأعمال النرويجي، التي كان من أبرزها الاجتماع مع رئيس اتحاد الشركات النرويجية سفين توري هولسيثر، الذي بحث من خلاله سبل تشجيع الشركات النرويجية المتخصصة في القطاعات ذات الأولوية على توسيع أعمالها في المملكة، إلى جانب استعراض الفرص الواعدة المتاحة في المملكة، وأثر شراكة قطاعي الأعمال على تعزيز التبادل التجاري الثنائي.
وتتضمن أعمال الوفد في اليوم الثاني زيارات ميدانية لشركة DNV المتخصصة في مجالات النقل البحري، وسلاسل التوريد، يتم من خلالها الاطلاع على نموذج عمل الشركة التي تعمل في 100 دولة حول العالم، وشركة TOMRA الرائدة في تطوير الأنظمة والأجهزة الداعمة لسياسات الاقتصاد الدائري، إضافة إلى زيارة شركة Fishglobe والاطلاع على تجربتها في ابتكار الحلول المستدامة لتربية الأحياء المائية، من خلال الجمع بين التكنولوجيا المتقدمة والمعرفة البيولوجية.
يذكر أن الوفد ضم قيادات عددٍ من الجهات الحكومية، هي وزارات؛ التجارة، والطاقة، والاستثمار، والصناعة والثروة المعدنية، والبيئة والمياه والزراعة، والنقل والخدمات اللوجستية، والهيئة العامة للموانئ، والهيئة العامة للغذاء والدواء، وصندوق الاستثمارات العامة، والمركز الوطني للتنافسية، إلى جانب مسؤولين عن اتحاد الغرف التجارية السعودية، وعدد من الشركات الوطنية.
The Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Center for Competitiveness, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, began a working visit to the Norwegian capital, Oslo, aimed at enhancing bilateral trade in promising sectors and strengthening the level of economic partnership between the two friendly countries, in addition to participating in the activities of the Saudi-Norwegian Business Forum.
During the two-day visit, he heads a delegation from the Kingdom that includes 30 officials from both the public and private sectors, and held meetings with several ministers and officials, which included reviewing the promising opportunities created by the Kingdom's Vision 2030, and discussing ways to encourage Norwegian companies to expand their operations in promising Saudi sectors, particularly those related to fisheries, maritime transport, circular economy, and sustainability.
Al-Qasabi met with the Norwegian Minister of Trade and Industry, Sissel Merete H. H. M. Merete, to discuss enhancing trade exchange between the two countries; to invest in opportunities in promising economic sectors, in addition to reviewing the Kingdom's experience in implementing legislative and regulatory reforms and their impact on enhancing the attractiveness of the business environment.
In another meeting with the Minister of State for Labor and Social Integration, Kjetil Fivle, they discussed cooperation in the areas of skill improvement to meet the aspirations of future labor markets, through the exchange of experiences between educational and training institutions in both countries.
Al-Qasabi concluded his ministerial meetings with a session with the Minister of State for Fisheries and Oceans, Even Trondstad Sagbakken, where both sides discussed exploring ways to enhance trade exchange through cooperation in developing ports and maritime logistics services, in addition to reviewing Norway's experience in smart mobility systems and their importance for Saudi projects.
Meeting with the President of the Norwegian Business Federation
Al-Qasabi's agenda included meetings with the Norwegian business sector, the most notable of which was a meeting with the President of the Norwegian Business Federation, Svein Tore Holsether, where they discussed ways to encourage Norwegian companies specialized in priority sectors to expand their operations in the Kingdom, in addition to reviewing the promising opportunities available in the Kingdom and the impact of the partnership between the business sectors on enhancing bilateral trade.
The delegation's activities on the second day include field visits to DNV, a company specializing in maritime transport and supply chains, where they will learn about the company's business model operating in 100 countries worldwide, and to TOMRA, a leader in developing systems and devices supporting circular economy policies, in addition to visiting Fishglobe to learn about its experience in innovating sustainable solutions for aquaculture by combining advanced technology and biological knowledge.
It is noteworthy that the delegation included leaders from several government entities, including the Ministries of Commerce, Energy, Investment, Industry and Mineral Resources, Environment, Water and Agriculture, Transport and Logistics Services, the General Authority for Ports, the General Authority for Food and Drug, the Public Investment Fund, and the National Center for Competitiveness, as well as officials from the Saudi Chambers of Commerce and several national companies.
