في الوقت الذي يتواصل فيه مسلسل نزيف حوادث الطرق الذي أودى بأرواح المعلمات في طرقات القرى والمناطق النائية، يفتح باب التساؤلات واسعاً حول أسباب تفاقم المشكلة التي تحصد سنوياً أرواحاً بريئة تسعى وراء رزقها في مناطق نائية بعيداً عن الأهل والأحبة وفلذات الأكباد.
معلمات يقطعن بصفة يومية مئات الكيلومترات ذهاباً وإياباً في رحلة يكتنفها الكثير من الغموض، فالموت على الطريق يتربص بالجميع، لأسباب عدة منها؛ السرعة وضيق الطرق، وأيضاً رغبة بعض السائقين في التجاوز الخطأ، إضافة إلى أن المركبات متهالكة ومن يجلس خلف مقودها هم في الغالب رجال تعدوا سن الستين أنهكتهم ظروف الحياة، والناتج من ذلك مزيد من الدماء وعويل لا ينقطع ودفاتر وأقلام مبعثرة على الإسفلت، وحزن على فقدان عزيز يبقى في القلب ولا تمحوه الذاكرة بمرور الزمن.
علامة فارقة في حوادث جازان
صباح الأحد الماضي في جازان سيبقى علامة فارقة في سجل الحوادث التي شهدتها المنطقة، بعد رحيل 4 معلمات وسائقهن وإصابة أخريات، فهي حكاية إنسانية تختصر معنى الفقد، وتؤكد أن حياة الإنسان أمانة ثمينة تستحق الحماية، وما يخلّفه هذا الرحيل من حزن سيبقى شاهداً على قسوة اللحظة، وضرورة أن تتحول هذه الحوادث إلى دروس تحفظ الأرواح وتصون الأسر.
حادثة المعلمات ألقت الضوء على خطورة الحوادث المرورية وأبعادها المأساوية حين تطال أشخاصاً بأكملهم أو عدداً منهم، ومع هذه الفاجعة المؤلمة، تواصلت الدعوات بالرحمة والمغفرة للفقيدات، في مشهد من التلاحم والتضامن عُرف به المجتمع السعودي في مواجهة الملمات.
حالة من الحزن عاشتها جازان منذ صباح الأحد، إذ نعى الأهالي المعلمات وسائقهن معبرين عن حزنهم وتعازيهم إلى أسر المتوفيات، فيما نعى الوسط التعليمي رحيل زميلاتهم المعلمات، وسادت حالة من الحزن وذرف الدموع على فراقهن بين طالبات ومعلمات المدارس التي يعملن بها.
يغادرن قبل الفجر بعد كتابة الوصية
«كابوس النائية» يلاحق المعلمات المعينات حديثاً، والذي يبدد أحلام الوظيفة الوردية ويعيد شريط الطرق التي ابتلّت بدماء معلمات قضين وهن في طريقهن لتأدية رسالتهن السامية، بل إن أماني الاستقرار وتكوين أسرة لا وجود لها، في ظل الشتات الذي تعيشه المعلمة المعيّنة في منطقة غير تلك التي تقطنها أسرتها.
رحلة المتاعب تبدأ قبل ساعات من الدوام الرسمي، حرصاً على الوصول في الوقت المحدد للحاق بالبصمة الحضورية التي تم تطبيقها مع بداية العام الدراسي الحالي، وقبل طابور الصباح، إذ ذكر عدد من معلمات القرى النائية أنهن يتوجهن إلى مقار عملهن في القرى النائية في منطقة جازان قبيل صلاة الفجر بعد كتابة وصيتهن وتركها في المنزل.
أعيدوا النظر في البصمة وقواعد السلامة
وقالت المعلمة ساره محمد: قبل خروجي من المنزل أقبّل أطفالي الصغار، وتضيف: أستيقظ في الثالثة فجراً وأقوم بتجهيز نفسي حتى موعد وصول السائق في الرابعة فجراً، إذ نقطع مع زميلاتي المعلمات مسافة 140 كيلومتراً للوصول إلى المدرسة، ولا ندري ما إذا كنا سنعود لأطفالنا أم لا.
فيما بينت المعلمة عبير أحمد بأنها إحدى الناجيات من حادث معلمات سابق، وكيف شاهدت بعينها زميلات لها وقد توفين في مكان الحادث، وتضيف: ما زلت أعيش المنظر المفجع، وأسأل الله لهن الرحمة الواسعة.
وفي ختام حديثهن طالبن وزارة التعليم، بإعادة النظر في البصمة الحضورية في المدارس النائية للمعلمين والمعلمات، إضافة إلى توفير حافلات وسائقين يتمتعون بالكفاءة وملتزمين بقواعد السلامة حتى لا تُحصَد أرواح جديدة ــ على حد قولهن.
At a time when the series of road accidents continues to claim the lives of female teachers on the roads of villages and remote areas, questions are being raised about the reasons for the exacerbation of the problem that annually takes innocent lives seeking their livelihood in distant areas away from family, loved ones, and their children.
Female teachers travel hundreds of kilometers daily back and forth on a journey shrouded in much mystery, as death on the road lurks for everyone, due to several reasons including speed, narrow roads, and also the desire of some drivers to overtake incorrectly. Additionally, the vehicles are often dilapidated, and those behind the wheel are mostly men over sixty, worn out by the hardships of life. The result is more bloodshed, unending wailing, scattered notebooks and pens on the asphalt, and sorrow for the loss of a loved one that remains in the heart and cannot be erased by the passage of time.
A Turning Point in Jazan Accidents
Last Sunday morning in Jazan will remain a turning point in the record of accidents witnessed in the region, after the departure of four female teachers and their driver, and the injury of others. It is a human story that encapsulates the meaning of loss and confirms that human life is a precious trust that deserves protection. The sorrow left by this departure will remain a testament to the harshness of the moment and the necessity for these accidents to turn into lessons that save lives and protect families.
The incident involving the female teachers highlighted the danger of traffic accidents and their tragic dimensions when they affect entire individuals or a number of them. Amid this painful tragedy, calls for mercy and forgiveness for the deceased continued, in a scene of solidarity and unity known in the Saudi community in facing calamities.
A state of grief has enveloped Jazan since Sunday morning, as families mourned the teachers and their driver, expressing their sorrow and condolences to the families of the deceased. Meanwhile, the educational community mourned the loss of their colleagues, and a state of sadness prevailed with tears shed over their departure among students and teachers in the schools where they worked.
They Leave Before Dawn After Writing Their Will
“The nightmare of remoteness” haunts newly appointed female teachers, shattering dreams of a rosy job and replaying the roads that have been soaked with the blood of teachers who perished while on their way to fulfill their noble mission. In fact, the hopes of stability and starting a family are nonexistent, in light of the dislocation experienced by the teacher assigned to an area different from where her family resides.
The journey of troubles begins hours before the official working hours, in an effort to arrive on time to punch in, which has been implemented since the beginning of the current school year, and before the morning line-up. Several female teachers from remote villages mentioned that they head to their workplaces in the remote areas of Jazan before the dawn prayer after writing their wills and leaving them at home.
Reconsider the Punch-In System and Safety Regulations
Teacher Sarah Mohammed said: “Before I leave home, I kiss my little children.” She adds: “I wake up at three in the morning and prepare myself until the driver arrives at four in the morning, as my colleagues and I travel a distance of 140 kilometers to reach the school, and we do not know if we will return to our children or not.”
Meanwhile, teacher Abeer Ahmed indicated that she is one of the survivors of a previous accident involving female teachers, and how she witnessed her colleagues passing away at the accident scene. She adds: “I still live with the horrific sight, and I ask God to grant them wide mercy.”
At the end of their discussion, they called on the Ministry of Education to reconsider the punch-in system in remote schools for teachers, in addition to providing buses and drivers who are qualified and committed to safety regulations so that new lives are not lost — as they put it.
