After the Ministry of Education approved the implementation of the "Hadhori" program in educational institutions this year for its employees to replace the paper attendance register, some individuals circulated video clips on social media platforms showing various ways to circumvent the program. Legal expert Abdulkarim Al-Qadi warned education staff through "Okaz," stating that manipulating attendance and departure data in the Hadhori program falls under the alteration, destruction, or forgery of electronic data, which places the violator under the provisions of paragraph 2 of Article 5 of the Anti-Cyber Crimes Law. Additionally, the penal code for forgery crimes stipulates that Article 16 punishes the violator with imprisonment for a period not exceeding three months and a fine not exceeding thirty thousand riyals, or one of the two penalties, and this includes any public employee who commits forgery in attendance and departure records. He added that the Hadhori program has replaced the paper attendance and departure register, and any manipulation or circumvention of its data is considered forgery of attendance and departure records, and the provisions of the article will apply.

It is worth noting that the "Hadhori" application is an intelligent system that relies on biometric technologies such as facial recognition, voice, and fingerprint to monitor the attendance and departure of teachers and staff within the school. The application enables officials to accurately track attendance and absence and manage leave requests. Registration in the application requires the input of the employee's biometric data, and the application prevents attendance recording if the user is outside their work area.
