رصدت فرقة تابعة لوزارة الشؤون الإسلامية في العاصمة الرياض قيام مدرسة تتبع لجمعية خيرية، مكوّنة من ثلاثة طوابق تعليمية وإدارية، بتشغيل كامل مرافقها على عداد كهرباء خاص بمسجد، وإغلاق المدخل الرئيسي للمدرسة، والاستيلاء على ممر جانبي مؤدٍ إلى المسجد وتحويله إلى مدخل للمدرسة، وإقامة فصل تعليمي مسقوف ومجهز داخل الممر، ما نتج عنه إعاقة دخول المصلين والسكان في الحي من هذه الجهة، إذ كان الممر الأقرب والأسهل لهم للوصول إلى المسجد، ما اضطرهم لاستخدام طرق ومداخل أبعد.
وأكدت الوزارة أنه تم التنسيق مع الجهات المختصة والوقوف ميدانياً على الحالة، والرفع بتقارير شاملة إلى الجهات المسؤولة لاتخاذ ما يلزم حيال الواقعة. وشددت الوزارة في الوقت ذاته، على أنها لن تتهاون مع أي تجاوزات تمس المساجد أو مرافقها، وأنها مستمرة في متابعة مثل هذه الحالات ورصدها بشكل دوري.
ودعت الوزارة المواطنين والمقيمين إلى التعاون والإبلاغ عن أي تعديات على المساجد أو مرافقها، مؤكدة استمرار جولات فرقها الرقابية المكثفة للتصدي للمخالفات وردع كل من يحاول المساس بحرمة بيوت الله أو مرافقها.
A team from the Ministry of Islamic Affairs in the capital, Riyadh, monitored a school belonging to a charitable organization, consisting of three educational and administrative floors, operating all its facilities on a separate electricity meter designated for a mosque. They closed the main entrance of the school, seized a side passage leading to the mosque, and converted it into an entrance for the school, establishing a covered and equipped classroom inside the passage. This resulted in obstructing the entry of worshippers and residents in the neighborhood from this side, as the passage was the closest and easiest route for them to reach the mosque, forcing them to use longer paths and entrances.
The ministry confirmed that coordination with the relevant authorities has taken place, and a field visit was conducted to assess the situation, with comprehensive reports submitted to the responsible entities to take necessary action regarding the incident. At the same time, the ministry emphasized that it will not tolerate any violations affecting mosques or their facilities, and that it will continue to monitor such cases regularly.
The ministry urged citizens and residents to cooperate and report any encroachments on mosques or their facilities, affirming the continuation of its intensive monitoring teams' rounds to confront violations and deter anyone attempting to infringe upon the sanctity of God's houses or their facilities.
