رأس الرئيس التنفيذي للهيئة العامة للغذاء والدواء الدكتور هشام الجضعي اجتماع الطاولة المستديرة، الذي عُقد بمقر الغرفة التجارية الأمريكية بواشنطن، بمشاركة نائب رئيس الغرفة لمنطقة الشرق الأوسط ستيف لوتس، وعدد من ممثلي كبرى الشركات الأمريكية المتخصصة في مجالات الهيئة، بمشاركة الملحقية التجارية السعودية، وجرى بحث سبل التعاون وتعزيز الفرص الاستثمارية في مجالات اختصاص الهيئة.
وخلال اللقاء، استعرضت الهيئة دورها المحوري في تطوير التشريعات وتعزيز منظومة الرقابة، بما يسهم في نمو أسواق الغذاء والدواء ودعم توطينها داخل المملكة، فضلًا عن دورها في تهيئة بيئة جاذبة للاستثمار للشركات الرائدة عالميًا.
وأشار الدكتور هشام الجضعي خلال اللقاء، إلى ما تتمتع به المملكة من جاذبية استثمارية، ترتكز على قوة اقتصادها وموقعها الجغرافي المتميز، إلى جانب اهتمامها بالبحث والتطوير والابتكار، وتعزيزها بنية تحتية رقمية متقدمة، في إطار رؤية شاملة ترسّخ مكانتها بين أسرع الاقتصادات العالمية نموًا وأكثرها استدامة.
ويجسّد هذا اللقاء عمق العلاقات الثنائية التي تربط المملكة بالولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، والحرص المشترك على تنميتها وتعزيزها بما يخدم مصالح البلدين الصديقين.
The CEO of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority, Dr. Hisham Aljadhi, chaired the roundtable meeting held at the American Chamber of Commerce in Washington, with the participation of the Chamber's Vice President for the Middle East, Steve Lutes, and several representatives from major American companies specialized in the Authority's fields, along with the Saudi Commercial Attaché. The meeting discussed ways to cooperate and enhance investment opportunities in the Authority's areas of expertise.
During the meeting, the Authority showcased its pivotal role in developing legislation and enhancing the regulatory system, which contributes to the growth of food and drug markets and supports their localization within the Kingdom, in addition to its role in creating an attractive investment environment for globally leading companies.
Dr. Hisham Aljadhi pointed out during the meeting the investment attractiveness of the Kingdom, which is based on the strength of its economy and its distinguished geographical location, along with its focus on research, development, and innovation, and its advanced digital infrastructure, all within a comprehensive vision that solidifies its position among the fastest-growing and most sustainable economies globally.
This meeting embodies the depth of the bilateral relations between the Kingdom and the United States of America, and the mutual commitment to develop and enhance them in a way that serves the interests of the two friendly countries.
