The Education and Training Evaluation Commission announced the completion of measuring educational performance for all schools in the Kingdom, both "primary and intermediate," through the analysis of the results of the national assessments "Nafes" 2025, involving more than 1.3 million students and over 26,000 public, private, and international schools in the primary and intermediate stages, in addition to early childhood schools this year. The commission issued school performance cards related to these assessments for schools and education administrations.

The commission has made it possible for all schools and education administrations to access their students' results in the national assessments "Nafes" 2025 through the Tameez digital platform, with a performance card published for each school and education administration.

This year, in its fourth year, the implementation of the national assessments "Nafes" saw a 31.6% increase in the number of students tested compared to last year, with an increase of over 150% in the third grade of primary school and a 24.7% increase in the number of targeted schools for the assessments compared to last year.

The commission conducted the "Nafes" assessments in collaboration with the Ministry of Education from April 14 to 30, 2025, in the targeted core subjects and grades, which are third grade primary "mathematics and reading," sixth grade primary "mathematics, reading, and science," and third intermediate "mathematics, reading, and science."

The Tameez digital platform (https://se.etec.gov.sa) provides performance cards for the "Nafes" assessments and detailed school evaluation reports that cover four areas: school management, teaching and learning, learning outcomes, and the school environment. The commission issued school performance cards based on the results of these assessments in the areas of mathematics, science, and reading.

The "Nafes" assessments are national tests conducted by the Education and Training Evaluation Commission in collaboration with the Ministry of Education. Their results serve as an important criterion for evaluating and accrediting schools. The "Nafes" assessments aim to evaluate the educational attainment of school students, stimulate excellence and positive competition among schools and education administrations, and provide decision-makers and stakeholders with reliable performance indicators that assist in taking corrective actions to improve the quality of educational processes and learning outcomes, as well as monitoring the level of progress and change in educational attainment levels of schools, education administrations, and the educational system periodically.

The results of these assessments are employed in evaluating public education schools, comparing performance and differences among schools and educational administrations, identifying factors affecting student learning and their achievements in "reading, science, and mathematics," and measuring national assessment indicators in the Human Capability Development Program to support achieving its objectives. The assessments are conducted in accordance with the integrated roles and continuous coordination between the Ministry of Education and the commission to achieve national goals. The results of the assessments represent an important indicator of performance in the Human Capability Development Program, one of the programs of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

The "Nafes" assessments are based on the commission's regulation issued by a Cabinet decision, which includes "building and implementing educational standards and assessments such as national assessments in general education stages related to evaluating general education."

The national assessments "Nafes" were applied for the first time to all primary and intermediate schools in the academic year 2021 - 2022, and their application has continued annually since then.
