تحت رعاية خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود تنطلق السبت 15 صفر 1447 الموافق 9 أغسطس 2025 فعاليات مسابقة الملك عبدالعزيز الدولية لحفظ القرآن الكريم وتلاوته وتفسيره في دورتها الخامسة والأربعين، التي تنظمها وتشرف عليها وزارة الشؤون الإسلامية والدعوة والإرشاد، وذلك في رحاب المسجد الحرام بمكة المكرمة، بمشاركة متسابقين من 128 دولة حول العالم، وهو العدد الأكبر من الدول المشاركة منذ تأسيس المسابقة عام 1399هـ؛ في تأكيدٍ على مكانتها الدولية وريادتها العالمية في ميدان المسابقات القرآنية.
ورفع وزير الشؤون الإسلامية والدعوة والإرشاد الشيخ الدكتور عبداللطيف بن عبدالعزيز آل الشيخ أسمى آيات الشكر والعرفان لخادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود، وولي عهده، على الرعاية الكريمة والدعم المتواصل لكتاب الله وأهله، مؤكداً أن هذه الرعاية المباركة تجسّد ما قامت عليه المملكة منذ تأسيسها من عناية بالقرآن الكريم وخدمته على المستوى العالمي.
وقال: «تتشرف الوزارة بتنظيم هذه المسابقة العريقة التي تُعدّ من أبرز المسابقات القرآنية الدولية، وتحظى بمكانة رفيعة، تُبرز ريادة المملكة في رعاية القرآن الكريم، وتجمع سنوياً نخبة من حفظة كتاب الله من مختلف دول العالم في أطهر بقاع الأرض، في صورة مشرفة تعكس رسالة المملكة في خدمة الإسلام ونشر قيم الوسطية والاعتدال».
وأضاف: «باتت مسابقة الملك عبدالعزيز الدولية منارة قرآنية عالمية ومحفلاً دولياً مرموقاً يحتفي بأهل القرآن، ويعكس الدور الريادي للمملكة في توحيد الجهود لخدمة كتاب الله، وترسيخ منهج الوسطية، ومجابهة الانحرافات الفكرية».
وسأل المولى تعالى أن يحفظ خادم الحرمين الشريفين، وولي العهد، وأن يوفقهما لما فيه عز الإسلام ونفع المسلمين، وأن يجزيهما خير الجزاء على ما يقدمانه من دعم كريم ومواقف مشرّفة في خدمة القرآن الكريم وأهله في أنحاء العالم.
وتُعدّ المسابقة من أعرق المسابقات القرآنية الدولية، وتمثل امتداداً لجهود المملكة الرائدة في دعم البرامج القرآنية، وتعزيز حضورها العالمي في خدمة كتاب الله، وترسيخ رسالتها الحضارية المبنية على نشر الخير والاعتدال.
Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the activities of the King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorization, Recitation, and Interpretation of the Holy Quran will commence on Saturday, 15 Safar 1447, corresponding to August 9, 2025. This event is organized and supervised by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call, and Guidance, and will take place in the Grand Mosque in Mecca, with the participation of competitors from 128 countries around the world, marking the largest number of participating countries since the competition was established in 1399 AH; affirming its international status and global leadership in the field of Quranic competitions.
The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call, and Guidance, Sheikh Dr. Abdulatif bin Abdulaziz Al Sheikh, expressed his utmost gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Crown Prince, for their generous patronage and continuous support for the Book of Allah and its people, emphasizing that this blessed sponsorship embodies what the Kingdom has upheld since its establishment in caring for and serving the Holy Quran on a global level.
He said: “The ministry is honored to organize this prestigious competition, which is considered one of the most prominent international Quranic competitions, enjoying a high status that highlights the Kingdom's leadership in caring for the Holy Quran. It annually brings together a select group of Quran memorizers from various countries around the world in the purest places on earth, in an honorable image that reflects the Kingdom's message in serving Islam and promoting the values of moderation and balance.”
He added: “The King Abdulaziz International Competition has become a global Quranic beacon and a distinguished international forum that celebrates the people of the Quran, reflecting the Kingdom's pioneering role in uniting efforts to serve the Book of Allah, establishing a moderate approach, and confronting intellectual deviations.”
He asked Almighty Allah to protect the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince, to grant them success in what brings honor to Islam and benefits Muslims, and to reward them generously for their noble support and honorable positions in serving the Holy Quran and its people around the world.
The competition is considered one of the oldest international Quranic competitions and represents an extension of the Kingdom's pioneering efforts in supporting Quranic programs, enhancing its global presence in serving the Book of Allah, and establishing its civilizational message based on spreading goodness and moderation.
