أطلقت محافظة جزر فرسان بتوجيه من المحافظ عبدالله الظافري مبادرة السبت البنفسجي، وهو يوم السبت الأخير من شهر يوليو من كل عام، الذي تقدم فيه فعاليات وعروض وتخفيضات وبرامج منوعة لذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة في مختلف مدن ومحافظات المملكة.
وجاءت فعالية محافظة جزر فرسان بالتعاون مع مركز التنمية الاجتماعية بجازان وبرنامج المدن الصحية بالمحافظة وعدد من الإدارات الحكومية وبمشاركة الأسر المنتجة.
وتنوع برنامج المبادرة الذي أقيم بحضور عدد من مسؤولي مركز التنمية الاجتماعية والمشرفين والمستفيدين، حيث قدمت العديد من الفقرات الترفيهية والمسابقات والمعارض التي نالت استحسان هذه الفئة الغالية.
وأعرب شداد السبيعي من ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة باسم المستفيدين عن شكره للقائمين على هذه المبادرة، حيث أتيحت له ولزملائه فرصة الحضور إلى فرسان والالتقاء بزملائهم من الفئة نفسها، مقدماً شكره للقيادة الرشيدة على اهتمامها ورعايتها لهم.
بدورها، شرعت بلدية محافظة جزر فرسان بتزيين مقرها والميدانين وتجهيز ساحة الاحتفالات الشعبية، كما أسهمت كذلك عدد من الإدارات الحكومية بتزيين مداخل مقارها.
وتركت المبادرة أثراً طيباً لدى الأهالي وذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة بإدخال الفرحة والبهجة في نفوسهم، مثمنين دور محافظة فرسان في تفعيل مثل هذه المبادرات التي تعكس مدى الترابط بين أفراد المجتمع.
The Farasan Islands Governorate, under the direction of Governor Abdullah Al-Dhafri, launched the Purple Saturday initiative, which takes place on the last Saturday of July each year. This day features various activities, shows, discounts, and programs for individuals with disabilities across different cities and governorates in the Kingdom.
The event in the Farasan Islands Governorate was organized in collaboration with the Social Development Center in Jazan, the Healthy Cities Program in the governorate, several government departments, and the participation of productive families.
The initiative's program, held in the presence of several officials from the Social Development Center, supervisors, and beneficiaries, included many entertainment segments, competitions, and exhibitions that were well received by this valued group.
Shaddad Al-Subaie, a person with disabilities, expressed his gratitude on behalf of the beneficiaries to those behind this initiative, as he and his colleagues were given the opportunity to attend the event in Farasan and meet their peers from the same group. He also thanked the wise leadership for its care and attention to them.
For its part, the Farasan Islands Municipality began decorating its headquarters and the two squares, as well as preparing the venue for the popular celebrations. Additionally, several government departments contributed by decorating the entrances of their facilities.
The initiative left a positive impact on the residents and individuals with disabilities by bringing joy and happiness to their hearts, appreciating the role of the Farasan Governorate in activating such initiatives that reflect the bond among community members.
