هيئة كبار العلماء تعقد اجتماعها الدوري الـ97

The Council of Senior Scholars, chaired by the Grand Mufti of the Kingdom and President of the Council of Senior Scholars, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Sheikh, held its 97th regular meeting yesterday at the council's headquarters in Taif.

During the meeting, several topics referred to it from the esteemed authority, some government agencies, and items listed on the council's agenda were discussed.

The Secretary-General of the Council of Senior Scholars, Dr. Fahd Saad Al-Majed, explained that preparations for the session begin early after the conclusion of the previous session; the council has formed advisory committees on the sidelines of the council meeting, comprising several members of the council and specialists with distinguished qualifications, to provide specialized insights. The committees submitted their reports to the council for consideration, and the General Secretariat prepared peer-reviewed research on the topics listed from various disciplines, aiming to study all aspects of consideration regarding those topics. Additionally, a group of experts was invited to gather their opinions and evaluations on some specialized topics. Dr. Al-Majed expressed gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince - may Allah preserve them - for the support and care the council has received, which has enabled it, by the grace of Allah, to fulfill its entrusted role.
