رحبت منظمة التعاون الإسلامي بالبيان المشترك الصادر عن وزراء خارجية 28 دولة، الذي دعا إلى الوقف الفوري والدائم وغير المشروط لإطلاق النار في قطاع غزة، وتيسير إدخال المساعدات الإنسانية، وتهيئة المسار السياسي المؤدي إلى تحقيق حل الدولتين.
وأكد الأمين العام لمنظمة التعاون الإسلامي حسين إبراهيم طه أن البيان يعكس الموقف المتنامي للمجتمع الدولي الرافض للعدوان الإسرائيلي والانتهاكات الجسيمة، وفي مقدمتها التهجير القسري، باعتبارها خرقاً واضحاً لأحكام القانون الدولي الإنساني.
وجدد دعوته إلى المجتمع الدولي لتحمل مسؤولياته القانونية والأخلاقية، والضغط على قوة الاحتلال لوقف العمليات العسكرية ضد المدنيين في قطاع غزة، وضمان التدفق الآمن للمساعدات الإنسانية، وتفعيل قرارات الأمم المتحدة ذات الصلة، دعماً لحقوق الشعب الفلسطيني في نيل حريته واستقلاله، وتجسيد سيادة دولته المستقلة على حدود الرابع من يونيو 1967، وعاصمتها مدينة القدس.
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation welcomed the joint statement issued by the foreign ministers of 28 countries, which called for an immediate, permanent, and unconditional ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, facilitating the entry of humanitarian aid, and preparing the political path leading to the realization of the two-state solution.
The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Hussein Ibrahim Taha, affirmed that the statement reflects the growing stance of the international community rejecting the Israeli aggression and serious violations, foremost among them forced displacement, as a clear breach of international humanitarian law.
He reiterated his call to the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities, and to pressure the occupying power to stop military operations against civilians in the Gaza Strip, ensure the safe flow of humanitarian aid, and activate relevant United Nations resolutions, in support of the rights of the Palestinian people to achieve their freedom and independence, and to embody the sovereignty of their independent state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with its capital in the city of Jerusalem.
