أوضحت وزارة الخارجية أن المملكة العربية السعودية تابعت التطورات في الجمهورية العربية السورية الشقيقة، وأعربت عن ارتياحها حيال ما اتخذته الحكومة السورية من إجراءات لتحقيق الأمن والاستقرار والمحافظة على السلم الأهلي، وتحقيق سيادة الدولة ومؤسساتها على كامل الأراضي السورية بما يحفظ وحدة سورية وأمنها ويحقق تطلعات الشعب السوري الشقيق.
كما أدانت المملكة استمرار الاعتداءات الإسرائيلية السافرة على الأراضي السورية، والتدخل في شؤونها الداخلية، وزعزعة أمنها واستقرارها في انتهاك صارخ للقانون الدولي، واتفاق فض الاشتباك المبرم بين سورية وإسرائيل في عام 1974م.
وجددت المملكة دعوتها للمجتمع الدولي للوقوف إلى جانب الجمهورية العربية السورية الشقيقة، ومساندتها في هذه المرحلة، والوقوف أمام هذه الاعتداءات والانتهاكات الإسرائيلية المتواصلة على سورية.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been following the developments in the sisterly Arab Republic of Syria, and expressed its satisfaction with the measures taken by the Syrian government to achieve security and stability, maintain civil peace, and ensure the sovereignty of the state and its institutions over all Syrian territories in a way that preserves Syria's unity and security and fulfills the aspirations of the Syrian people.
The Kingdom also condemned the ongoing blatant Israeli assaults on Syrian territory, the interference in its internal affairs, and the destabilization of its security and stability in a flagrant violation of international law and the disengagement agreement concluded between Syria and Israel in 1974.
The Kingdom renewed its call to the international community to stand by the sisterly Arab Republic of Syria, support it during this phase, and confront these continuous Israeli assaults and violations against Syria.
