أعلن البنك السعودي الأول، أحد البنوك المتخصصة في المملكة والمنطقة، عن انضمامه إلى برنامج رواد الاستدامة التابع لوزارة الاقتصاد والتخطيط، وذلك خلال مراسم التوقيع الرسمية التي أُقيمت في 28 مايو 2025 في برج الأول. وتأتي هذه الخطوة تجسيدًا لالتزام البنك المستمر بالاستدامة وتعزيز أثره الإيجابي في المجتمع والتنمية الوطنية.
يعد برنامج رواد الاستدامة إحدى المبادرات الإستراتيجية للوزارة، ويهدف إلى الارتقاء بالأداء في مجالات الاستدامة على مستوى القطاعات الحيوية، من خلال التعاون مع الشركات الوطنية الرائدة التي تُظهر التزاماً فعّالاً بأفضل ممارسات الاستدامة والحوكمة المؤسسية. وبصفته رائدًا في البرنامج، سيستثمر الأول خبراته الواسعة وموارده لدعم وتوجيه الجهات المشاركة في رحلتها نحو تطبيق ممارسات الاستدامة.
وفي إطار هذا الدور، سيعمل الأول على توجيه مجموعة مختارة من المؤسسات البارزة المشاركة في البرنامج، بما في ذلك شركة دله للخدمات الصحية، وشركة روابي القابضة، وشركة الشرق الأوسط لصناعة وإنتاج الورق، وشركة أسمنت المدينة. وتمثل هذه الخطوة بداية لتعاون بنّاء بين القطاعين العام والخاص لتعزيز ثقافة الاستدامة وتحقيق مستهدفات رؤية السعودية 2030.
وبهذه المناسبة، صرح توني كريبس، العضو المنتدب والرئيس التنفيذي لدى الأول، قائلاً: «الاستدامة لم تعد خياراً، بل أصبحت مسؤولية، ومن خلال شراكتنا مع برنامج رواد الاستدامة التابع لوزارة الاقتصاد والتخطيط، نُسهم بشكل ملموس في بناء قاعدة معرفية ملموسة تدعم الاستدامة، والمساهمة في تحقيق أهداف المملكة. نحن فخورون بأن نكون جزءًا من هذه المبادرة المستقبلية، التي تتماشى مع إستراتيجيتنا في مجالات الممارسات البيئة والاجتماعية والحوكمة المؤسسية، والتزامنا على دعم النمو الاقتصادي المستدام».
وشهدت مراسم التوقيع حضور كبار التنفيذيين من الأول والمؤسسات المشاركة، مما يعكس التزامًا مشتركاً بتحقيق تقدم ملموس في دفع عجلة الاستدامة على مستوى القطاعات المختلفة.
ويواصل الأول دوره الريادي في مجال الاستدامة من خلال تنفيذ إستراتيجية متكاملة للبيئة والمجتمع والحوكمة المؤسسية، والمشاركة الفاعلة في العديد من المبادرات التي تهدف إلى تعزيز التنمية الاقتصادية المستدامة بما يتماشى مع رؤية السعودية 2030. ومن خلال شراكاته مع الجهات الحكومية، وعلى رأسها وزارة الاقتصاد والتخطيط، يسهم البنك بدور محوري في دعم تطلعات المملكة نحو مستقبل أكثر استدامة، وإحداث تأثير إيجابي طويل الأمد بيئياً ومجتمعياً.
The Saudi First Bank, one of the specialized banks in the Kingdom and the region, announced its joining of the Sustainability Leaders Program affiliated with the Ministry of Economy and Planning during the official signing ceremony held on May 28, 2025, at the First Tower. This step embodies the bank's ongoing commitment to sustainability and enhancing its positive impact on the community and national development.
The Sustainability Leaders Program is one of the ministry's strategic initiatives, aiming to elevate performance in sustainability across vital sectors by collaborating with leading national companies that demonstrate effective commitment to best practices in sustainability and corporate governance. As a leader in the program, First Bank will invest its extensive expertise and resources to support and guide participating entities on their journey towards implementing sustainability practices.
In this role, First Bank will guide a select group of prominent institutions participating in the program, including Dallah Healthcare Company, Rawabi Holding Company, Middle East Paper Company, and City Cement Company. This step represents the beginning of a constructive collaboration between the public and private sectors to enhance the culture of sustainability and achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
