وجّه وزير الشؤون الإسلامية والدعوة والإرشاد الدكتور عبداللطيف آل الشيخ خطباء الجوامع في مختلف المناطق بتخصيص خطبة الجمعة القادمة للحديث عن خطر الشائعات والغيبة والنميمة، وبيان آثارها السيئة على الفرد والمجتمع، في إطار جهود الوزارة التوعوية والتوجيهية، الهادفة إلى تعزيز القيم الأخلاقية والتحذير من الظواهر التي تضر بوحدة المجتمع وتماسكه.
ويأتي التوجيه تأكيداً على أهمية تذكير الناس بما فيه خير وصلاح لهم في دينهم ودنياهم، وما ورد في الكتاب والسنة من التحذير من الوقوع في أعراض الآخرين أو التعامل مع الشائعات دون تثبّت.
وتضمّن التوجيه تناول عدد من المحاور، أبرزها: بيان وجوب حفظ اللسان من الوقوع في أعراض الناس بما يكرهون، والتحذير من نشر الشائعات أو السماع لها وتصديقها، كما تناول التوجيه التحذير من الغيبة والنميمة وبيان آثارها السيئة على الفرد والمجتمع، ومنها أنها توغر الصدور، وتشحن النفوس، وتذهب الألفة والمودة، وتزرع الضغينة بين المسلمين، وأنها من كبائر الذنوب والمعاصي. وشدّد التوجيه على بيان عدم جواز السماع لأهل الشائعات والغيبة والنميمة، وضرورة الإنكار عليهم ونصحهم وتذكيرهم بالله تعالى، حفاظاً على تماسك المجتمع وأمنه الأخلاقي والاجتماعي.

The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, Dr. Abdul Latif Al Sheikh, directed the imams of mosques in various regions to dedicate the upcoming Friday sermon to discussing the dangers of rumors, gossip, and slander, and to highlight their negative effects on individuals and society. This is part of the ministry's awareness and guidance efforts aimed at promoting moral values and warning against phenomena that harm the unity and cohesion of society.
This directive emphasizes the importance of reminding people of what is good and beneficial for them in their religion and worldly affairs, as well as what has been mentioned in the Quran and Sunnah regarding the warning against falling into the faults of others or dealing with rumors without verification.
The directive included addressing several key points, most notably: the obligation to guard one's tongue from speaking ill of others, the warning against spreading rumors or listening to and believing them. The directive also warned against gossip and slander, explaining their negative effects on individuals and society, including creating animosity, fueling tensions, eroding affection and goodwill, and sowing discord among Muslims. It stated that these acts are among the major sins and transgressions. The directive stressed the prohibition of listening to those who spread rumors, gossip, and slander, and the necessity of denouncing them, advising them, and reminding them of Allah Almighty, in order to preserve the cohesion and moral and social security of the community.
