«التحالف الإسلامي» يطلق مبادرة لمحاربة الإرهاب والجماعات المتطرفة

Yesterday, in the capital of the Union of the Comoros, Moroni, the training program "Building the Capacities of Imams and Preachers" was launched, organized by the Islamic Military Alliance to Combat Terrorism as part of its strategic initiative in the intellectual field. The program includes a number of specialized training programs and workshops that focus on the methods of extremist groups in influencing, skills of impactful discourse, communication arts, and concepts of moderation and balance, in addition to exchanging successful preaching experiences, with the participation of a select group of imams, preachers, and speakers in the Union of the Comoros, and in the presence of the President of Parliament, Moustadroan Abdo, Minister of Defense Youssef Mohamed Ali, the Secretary-General of the Islamic Military Alliance to Combat Terrorism, Major General Pilot Rukun Mohammed Said Al-Muqaydi, and several ministers in the republic.

The Minister of Defense of the Union of the Comoros confirmed that his country renews its steadfast commitment alongside the brotherly countries in the Islamic Alliance to combat extremism and eradicate the scourge of terrorism. He expressed his gratitude to the Islamic Alliance for its efforts in protecting communities from terrorism and extremism and promoting moderate thought, indicating that the launch of the strategic initiative in the intellectual field is a noble and important step.

For his part, the Secretary-General of the Alliance confirmed that the establishment of the Alliance aims, through its programs, to build the capacities of specialists and enhance the readiness of the relevant agencies in member states to combat terrorism. He noted that the strategic initiatives launched by the Alliance amount to (15) initiatives distributed across four main areas: intellectual, media, combating the financing of terrorism, and military. The Alliance intends to implement (90) training programs, in addition to (20) awareness and knowledge programs, to be carried out in member states with the aim of enhancing their capacities to confront terrorism.
