اقترح الرئيس التنفيذي لمؤسسة الأمير خالد الفيصل الثقافية الدكتور منصور الحارثي، إقامة مهرجان شعري سنوي في شارع الشاعر السعودي الراحل محمد الثبيتي في الطائف؛ ليكون فضاء ثقافياً حياً يُنعش المدينة بالفعاليات الأدبية، يضم الكتب، والشعر، والفن التشكيلي، ليجعل من الشارع مزاراً ثقافياً.جاء ذلك خلال حلقة نقاش بعنوان «الطائف مدينة الأدب»، التي أقيمت بحضور عدد من المسؤولين والمثقفين والمهتمين بالمشهد الثقافي في المحافظة، وقدمها الحارثي بتنظيم من هيئة الأدب والنشر والترجمة ضمن فعاليات تسجيل الطائف مدينةً مبدعةً لدى اليونيسكو، لتسليط الضوء على مفهوم المُدن المبدعة، ودورها في تطوير المشهد الإبداعي.يُشار إلى أن شارع الثبيتي في الطائف شارع فرعي من شارع قريش، ويتمتع بموقع هادئ ومناسب لإقامة الفعاليات الثقافية، ما يجعله مكاناً مثالياً لتحويله إلى معلم ثقافي دائم يخلّد اسم أحد أبرز شعراء المملكة.
مقترح بإحياء شارع الثبيتي.. بمهرجان شعري سنوي
The CEO of the Prince Khalid Al-Faisal Cultural Foundation, Dr. Mansour Al-Harithi, proposed the establishment of an annual poetry festival on the street of the late Saudi poet Muhammad Al-Thubaiti in Taif; to create a vibrant cultural space that revitalizes the city with literary events, including books, poetry, and visual arts, making the street a cultural landmark. This was mentioned during a discussion session titled "Taif, the City of Literature," which was held in the presence of several officials, intellectuals, and those interested in the cultural scene in the province. The session was presented by Al-Harithi and organized by the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission as part of the activities to register Taif as a Creative City with UNESCO, highlighting the concept of creative cities and their role in developing the creative scene. It is worth noting that Al-Thubaiti Street in Taif is a side street off Quraish Street and enjoys a quiet location suitable for hosting cultural events, making it an ideal place to transform it into a permanent cultural landmark that immortalizes the name of one of the kingdom's most prominent poets.
