حصل ملف تسجيل معرض «إكسبو 2030 الرياض» على الاعتماد النهائي خلال اجتماع الجمعية العمومية للمكتب الدولي للمعارض المنعقد في العاصمة الفرنسية باريس، وهي المرحلة الأخيرة لاعتماد تسجيل الدولة المستضيفة، كما تسلّم وفد المملكة عَلم معرض إكسبو الدولي.
ورأس وفد المملكة المشارك في الاجتماع وزير الدولة عضو مجلس الوزراء الرئيس التنفيذي للهيئة الملكية لمدينة الرياض المكلف المهندس إبراهيم بن محمد السلطان، بحضور سفير خادم الحرمين الشريفين لدى الجمهورية الفرنسية فهد بن معيوف الرويلي، وعدد من المسؤولين، إذ استُعرضت أبرز مكونات الملف الذي يُعد مرجعاً شاملاً يُجسّد رؤية المملكة لتنظيم نسخة استثنائية من المعرض تعكس طموحاتها وترتكز على التقدم والابتكار والتعاون الدولي.
ورفع معاليه بهذه المناسبة الشكر والامتنان لخادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، ولولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز -حفظهما الله- على دعمهما المتواصل لاستضافة المملكة هذا المعرض العالمي المهم، مؤكداً أن اعتماد ملف التسجيل في وقت قياسي يبرهن ما تحظى به المملكة من مكانة ريادية وثقة على الساحة الدولية، ويعكس احترافية فرق العمل المشاركة في إعداد الملف ومراجعته، كما أنه خطوة مهمة تؤسس لمرحلة جديدة في رحلة المملكة نحو تنظيم نسخة استثنائية وغير مسبوقة في تاريخ معارض إكسبو الدولية، وبما يتماشى مع تحقيق مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030.
وتعد الرياض أول مدينة في تاريخ معارض إكسبو الدولية تنجح في استكمال وتسليم ملف التسجيل الكامل خلال فترة قياسية، وهي نصف المدة المعتادة لهذا النوع من الملفات، وتمثل الموافقة على ملف التسجيل نقطة الانطلاق للمرحلة التالية من التحضيرات الرسمية لاستضافة معرض إكسبو 2030 الرياض التي تشمل إرسال الدعوات الرسمية إلى الدول المشاركة من خلال القنوات الدبلوماسية.
ويُقام إكسبو 2030 الرياض خلال الفترة من 1 أكتوبر 2030م إلى 31 مارس 2031م على مساحة 6 ملايين متر مربع، بصفته أحد أضخم معارض إكسبو في التاريخ؛ إذ صُمم الموقع لاستقبال أكثر من 40 مليون زيارة، عبر بنية تحتية متطورة بمعايير عالمية، ومرافق ضيافة متقدمة تضمن تجربة استثنائية لكافة الزوار، بمشاركة أكثر من 195 دولة، ليُرسي معايير جديدة في مجال التعاون الدولي والمشاركة الفاعلة.
كما تؤكد الموافقة على ملف التسجيل جاهزية المملكة لاستضافة معرض إكسبو استثنائي يتوافق مع أعلى المعايير العالمية، ويشكل منصة نوعية تسهم في التنمية وتحفيز الابتكار ليمتد أثره للأجيال القادمة، في ظل دعم حكومي غير محدود، ورؤية طموحة، وخطة إستراتيجية شاملة ومدروسة.
The registration file for the "Expo 2030 Riyadh" has received final approval during the General Assembly meeting of the International Exhibitions Bureau held in the French capital, Paris. This is the final stage for the approval of the host country's registration, and the Saudi delegation received the flag of the international Expo.
The Saudi delegation participating in the meeting was headed by the Minister of State, Member of the Council of Ministers, and CEO of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, Engineer Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al-Sultan, in the presence of the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the French Republic, Fahd bin Maayouf Al-Ruwaili, along with several officials. The main components of the file, which serves as a comprehensive reference embodying the Kingdom's vision for organizing an exceptional version of the expo that reflects its ambitions and is based on progress, innovation, and international cooperation, were presented.
On this occasion, His Excellency expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and to the Crown Prince, Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz - may God protect them - for their continuous support for the Kingdom's hosting of this important global expo. He affirmed that the approval of the registration file in record time demonstrates the Kingdom's leading position and trust on the international stage, reflecting the professionalism of the teams involved in preparing and reviewing the file. It is also an important step that lays the foundation for a new phase in the Kingdom's journey towards organizing an exceptional and unprecedented version in the history of international expos, in line with achieving the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
Riyadh is the first city in the history of international expos to successfully complete and submit the full registration file in a record time, which is half the usual duration for such files. The approval of the registration file represents the starting point for the next phase of official preparations to host Expo 2030 Riyadh, which includes sending official invitations to participating countries through diplomatic channels.
Expo 2030 Riyadh will take place from October 1, 2030, to March 31, 2031, covering an area of 6 million square meters, making it one of the largest expos in history. The site is designed to accommodate more than 40 million visits, featuring advanced infrastructure with global standards and state-of-the-art hospitality facilities that ensure an exceptional experience for all visitors, with participation from over 195 countries, setting new standards in international cooperation and active participation.
The approval of the registration file also confirms the Kingdom's readiness to host an exceptional expo that meets the highest global standards, forming a qualitative platform that contributes to development and stimulates innovation, extending its impact to future generations, supported by unlimited government backing, an ambitious vision, and a comprehensive and well-studied strategic plan.
