U.S. authorities in Ohio have arrested former "American Idol" contestant Caleb Flynn (39) after he was accused of shooting his wife Ashley Flynn (37) inside their home in Tipp City and staging the crime scene to mislead investigators.
Flynn appeared in a video during his court appearance before Judge Samuel Hoffman, claiming his innocence and stating that he "just wants to take care of his daughters," while the judge set his bail at two million dollars.
The victim, Ashley Flynn, was found dead after suffering multiple gunshot wounds to the head, at a time when her husband and their two children were inside the home when police arrived. A 911 call recorded by the receptionist revealed a state of panic, with Flynn saying, "There's blood everywhere, oh my God, oh my God."
His attorney, Patrick Mulligan, described the investigation as "excessively rushed," emphasizing that time pressure could increase the likelihood of a judicial error, while the Tipp City police chief defended the investigation's progress, stating that it was conducted "according to a thorough and deliberate inquiry."
