تنفذ أمانة منطقة المدينة المنورة مشاريع تطويرية للجسور والأنفاق ضمن خطتها الشاملة لتحديث البنية التحتية وتعزيز كفاءة التنقل في المدينة، وذلك في إطار تحقيق مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030.
وتهدف هذه المشاريع إلى تسهيل الحركة وتقليل الازدحام المروري في المحاور الرئيسة المؤدية إلى المسجد النبوي؛ من خلال رفع كفاءة الربط المروري الداخلي والخارجي وتحسين تجربة التنقل والارتقاء بجودة الحياة في المدينة المنورة.
وتشمل المشاريع جسر تقاطع طريق الملك عبدالعزيز مع طريق الملك عبدالله؛ الذي يُعد حلقة وصل حيوية تربط المطار بمحطة قطار الحرمين والمسجد النبوي، ويضم مسارين مخصصين لحافلات النقل السريع (BRT) لتيسير التنقل بكفاءة ومرونة، إضافة إلى جسر تقاطع طريق السلام مع طريق الأمير نايف؛ الذي يعزز الربط بين أحياء المدينة ويخفف الازدحام المروري في المحاور المؤدية إلى المسجد النبوي مع توفير ممرات آمنة وسلسة لضيوف الرحمن، كما يبرز جسر تقاطع طريق عمر بن الخطاب مع طريق الملك عبدالله كأحد المسارات الحيوية التي تسهم في تحسين الانسيابية المرورية نحو المنطقة المركزية المحيطة بالمسجد النبوي.

The Municipality of Medina is implementing developmental projects for bridges and tunnels as part of its comprehensive plan to update the infrastructure and enhance mobility efficiency in the city, in line with achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
These projects aim to facilitate movement and reduce traffic congestion on the main routes leading to the Prophet's Mosque by improving the efficiency of internal and external traffic connections, enhancing the mobility experience, and elevating the quality of life in Medina.
The projects include the bridge at the intersection of King Abdulaziz Road with King Abdullah Road; which is a vital link connecting the airport to the Haramain Train Station and the Prophet's Mosque. It features two dedicated lanes for Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) to facilitate efficient and flexible mobility. Additionally, there is the bridge at the intersection of Al-Salam Road with Prince Naif Road; which enhances connectivity between the neighborhoods of the city and alleviates traffic congestion on the routes leading to the Prophet's Mosque while providing safe and smooth pathways for the guests of the Merciful. The bridge at the intersection of Omar Ibn Al-Khattab Road with King Abdullah Road also stands out as one of the vital routes that contribute to improving traffic flow towards the central area surrounding the Prophet's Mosque.
