في إطار تنفيذ مهمات وزارة الداخلية في مكافحة المخدرات وجهودها في متابعة نشاطات تهريبها وترويجها التي تستهدف أمن المملكة وشبابها، أحبطت المديرية العامة لحرس الحدود محاولات تهريب (2,756,806) أقراص من مادة الإمفيتامين المخدر و(1,944,230) قرصًا خاضعًا لتنظيم التداول الطبي و(4) أطنان من مادة الحشيش المخدر و(180) طنًا من نبات القات المخدر، وقبضت على مهربيها بمناطق تبوك وجازان وعسير ونجران ومكة المكرمة والمدينة المنورة والمنطقة الشرقية، وهم (1518) مخالفًا لنظام أمن الحدود من الجنسية الإثيوبية، و(842) مخالفًا لنظام أمن الحدود من الجنسية اليمنية، و(7) مخالفين لنظام أمن الحدود من الجنسية السودانية، و(6) مخالفين لنظام أمن الحدود من الجنسية الإرترية، و(3) مخالفين لنظام أمن الحدود من الجنسية الصومالية، ومخالفان لنظام أمن الحدود من الجنسية الباكستانية، و(33) مواطنًا.
وتهيب وزارة الداخلية بالمواطنين والمقيمين للمبادرة إلى الإبلاغ عن كل ما يتوفر لديهم من معلومات عن أي نشاطات ذات صلة بتهريب أو ترويج المخدرات، وذلك من خلال الاتصال بالأرقام (911) في مناطق مكة المكرمة والمدينة المنورة والرياض والشرقية و(999) في بقية مناطق المملكة، أو رقم بلاغات المديرية العامة لحرس الحدود (994) أو رقم بلاغات المديرية العامة لمكافحة المخدرات (995)، وعبر البريد الإلكتروني: (Email:995@gdnc.gov.sa)، وستعالج جميع البلاغات بسرية تامة.
As part of the Ministry of Interior's efforts to combat drugs and its initiatives to monitor drug smuggling and promotion activities that threaten the security of the Kingdom and its youth, the General Directorate of Border Guard thwarted attempts to smuggle (2,756,806) pills of the narcotic substance amphetamine, (1,944,230) pills subject to medical trading regulations, (4) tons of narcotic hashish, and (180) tons of the narcotic plant khat. They arrested the smugglers in the regions of Tabuk, Jazan, Asir, Najran, Makkah, Madinah, and the Eastern Province, which included (1,518) violators of border security regulations of Ethiopian nationality, (842) violators of border security regulations of Yemeni nationality, (7) violators of border security regulations of Sudanese nationality, (6) violators of border security regulations of Eritrean nationality, (3) violators of border security regulations of Somali nationality, (2) violators of border security regulations of Pakistani nationality, and (33) citizens.
The Ministry of Interior urges citizens and residents to promptly report any information they have regarding any activities related to drug smuggling or promotion, by calling the numbers (911) in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and (999) in the rest of the Kingdom's regions, or the General Directorate of Border Guard's reporting number (994) or the General Directorate for Drug Control's reporting number (995), and via email: (Email:995@gdnc.gov.sa). All reports will be handled with complete confidentiality.
