«كويني باديلا» من الفلبين.. ممثلة سابقة عملت في مجال العروض والتمثيل لخمس سنوات، حتى وصلت لنقطة مفصلية في حياتها بعد أن حققت حلمها كممثلة بارعة.
تقول لـ«عكاظ»: «شعرت بفراغ كبير بداخلي. كان هناك شيء مفقود في حياتي. ولذلك قمت بالتوقف لفترة عن العمل كممثلة وذهبت لأمي في أستراليا.. كانت مسلمة حديثاً آنذاك، وعرفتني بالإسلام. في البداية شعرت بالضيق تجاهها بسبب شكوك وتساؤلات، ولم أكن أفهم الأمر حينها. بعد دعوة أمي وبعد بحثي الروحي بدأت بالدراسة عن كل الأديان، وتركت الإسلام آخر خياراتي..».
تواصل كويني باديلا حكايتها وتضيف: «بعد دراستي للإسلام وبعد دخولي لمجتمع المسلمين والحلقات الدينية وجدت أنه الحقيقة، وأن هدفنا عبادة الله وحده، وتحررت من كل الفراغ الذي كنت أشعر به. اختفى الفراغ وشعرت بأنني في موطني، وشعرت بالكمال، وأنني وجدت ضالتي في الإسلام. حجتي الأولى كانت في ٢٠١١، وأنا ممتنة وشاكرة؛ لأن الله دعاني للحج مرة أخرى، وشاكرة وممتنة للسعودية لإعطائي وكل من في بلادي هذه الفرصة العظيمة لأداء فريضة الحج، والحج فرصة لتنقي فيها روحك وقلبك والحمد لله».
“Kweeny Padilla” from the Philippines... a former actress who worked in the field of performances and acting for five years, until she reached a pivotal point in her life after achieving her dream as a talented actress.
She tells Okaz: “I felt a huge emptiness inside me. There was something missing in my life. That’s why I took a break from acting and went to my mother in Australia... She had recently converted to Islam at that time, and she introduced me to Islam. At first, I felt uneasy towards her due to doubts and questions, and I didn’t understand it back then. After my mother’s invitation and my spiritual search, I began studying all religions, leaving Islam as my last option...”
Kweeny Padilla continues her story and adds: “After studying Islam and entering the Muslim community and religious circles, I found that it is the truth, and that our goal is to worship God alone. I was freed from all the emptiness I felt. The emptiness disappeared, and I felt that I was in my home, I felt complete, and that I had found what I was searching for in Islam. My first pilgrimage was in 2011, and I am grateful and thankful; because God called me to pilgrimage again, and I am thankful to Saudi Arabia for giving me and everyone in my country this great opportunity to perform the pilgrimage, and the pilgrimage is an opportunity to purify your soul and heart, and thank God.”
