فيما لم يصدر بيان رسمي حتى الآن من الجهات المعنية بمقتل الدكتور عبد الملك بكر قاضي الأستاذ في جامعة الملك فهد للبترول والمعادن سابقاً، نقلت مصادر خبر وفاته غدراً على جان من جنسية عربية.
وبحسب المعلومات التي حصلت عليها «عكاظ» فإن الجاني اقتحم منزل المغدور الذي كان يجلس على مقعده المتحرك وسدد إليه عدة طعنات أدت إلى وفاته في الحال، كما سدد القاتل طعنات لزوجة الدكتور قاضي وأصابها بجروح مختلفة نقلت على إثرها إلى أحد المستشفيات بالظهران. ونقلت المصادر أن دوافع الجريمة هي السرقة.
يشار إلى أن الراحل أستاذ جامعي ويعد من أبرز العلماء في مجال السنة النبوية والدراسات الإسلامية، وله مؤلفات وموسوعات عدة، كما أقام مبرة على نفقته الخاصة لمساعدة طلاب العلم دون مقابل.
ونعاه عدد من أصدقائه وزملائه ومعارفه، وتناولوا سيرته العطرة. وقال المهندس نزار قاضي في تغريدة على حسابه في منصة إكس: «رحم الله عمي فضيلة الشيخ الدكتور عبد الملك بكر قاضي الأستاذ في جامعة الملك فهد للبترول والمعادن، وسيصلى عليه في جامع الملك فهد بالخبر».
While no official statement has been issued yet by the relevant authorities regarding the murder of Dr. Abdul Malik Bakr Qadi, a former professor at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, sources reported his death by treachery at the hands of an individual of Arab nationality.
According to information obtained by "Okaz," the perpetrator broke into the victim's home while he was sitting in his wheelchair and inflicted several stab wounds that led to his immediate death. The killer also stabbed Dr. Qadi's wife, injuring her with various wounds, and she was subsequently transported to a hospital in Dhahran. Sources indicated that the motive for the crime was theft.
It is noteworthy that the deceased was a university professor and is considered one of the prominent scholars in the field of prophetic traditions and Islamic studies, with several publications and encyclopedias to his name. He also established a charitable foundation at his own expense to assist students of knowledge without charge.
Many of his friends, colleagues, and acquaintances mourned him and spoke of his good reputation. Engineer Nizar Qadi tweeted on his account on the X platform: "May God have mercy on my uncle, the esteemed Sheikh Dr. Abdul Malik Bakr Qadi, professor at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, and he will be prayed upon at King Fahd Mosque in Khobar."
