أحالت النيابة العامة مقيماً من الجنسية الآسيوية إلى المحكمة الجزائية بعد قيامه بإنشاء حملة حج وهمية عبر أحد مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي بقصد الاستيلاء على أموال الآخرين بدون وجه حق، حيث تم القبض عليه وبحوزته سندات قبض تتعلق بالنشاط المخالف.
وصدر بحقه حكم ابتدائي يقضي بسجنه لمدة عام، وتغريمه 10 آلاف ريال، مع مصادرة كافة الأجهزة والوسائل المستخدمة في ارتكاب الجريمة.
وشددت النيابة العامة على أن المساهمة في إنشاء حملات وهمية تعد من الجرائم الكبيرة الموجبة للتوقيف، وتؤكد استمرار ملاحقة كل من يعبث بأنظمة الحج وتقديمهم للعدالة.
The Public Prosecution referred a resident of Asian nationality to the criminal court after he created a fake Hajj campaign through one of the social media platforms with the intent of unlawfully seizing others' money. He was arrested while in possession of receipts related to the illegal activity.
A preliminary ruling was issued against him, sentencing him to one year in prison and fining him 10,000 riyals, along with the confiscation of all devices and means used in committing the crime.
The Public Prosecution emphasized that participating in the creation of fake campaigns is considered a major crime warranting detention, and it confirms the continued pursuit of anyone who manipulates the Hajj regulations and bringing them to justice.
