The Governor of Samta, Dr. Khafeer bin Zaree' Al-Omari, received today in his office the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Raqf Association for Honoring the Deceased in the province, Abdullah Ibrahim Akour, along with the members of the Board of Directors of the association, on the occasion of the establishment of the association and its registration with the National Center for the Non-Profit Sector.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors provided the Governor of Samta with an explanation about the association and its objectives, such as coordination and integration with relevant entities, caring for and maintaining cemeteries and washing facilities in cooperation and coordination with the municipality of the province, and the Foundation for Honoring the Deceased at the national level. The aim is to develop work that enhances the efficiency of cemeteries, removes any random elements within them, organizes washing facilities, trains washers, and supports financial sustainability through fundraising and directing it towards services for honoring the deceased. Additionally, it aims to humanize cemeteries by improving the services provided to the families of the deceased and visitors, including the transportation of funerals, preparation, washing, and burial.

Al-Omari praised the unlimited support and attention provided by the leadership to associations and the non-profit sector in the Kingdom.

For his part, Akour expressed his gratitude to the Governor of Samta for his reception and guidance, which will serve as motivation for further contributions to community service through the activities of the association.
