نفى المتحدث باسم جامعة بيشة الدكتور سعد الرمثي المعلومات المتداولة في أوساط المجتمع عن نية الجامعة دمج كليات قائمة أو إلغائها، وقال الرمثي لـ«عكاظ» أن ما يتم تداوله غير صحيح، وأن مجلس الجامعة قد اعتمد في جلسته الرابعة للعام الجامعي 1447هـ يوم الخميس الماضي مقاعد القبول في برامج الجامعة للعام الهجري 1448هـ ومنها أعداد المقبولين في كلية الطب، وأضاف أن البيانات المطلوبة متوفرة على موقع الجامعة.
وكان المجتمع في بيشة قد تداول معلومات مزعجة ذكرت أن الجامعة تنوي تقليص عدد الكليات بدمج وتذويب بعضها، وإلغاء كليات أخرى من بينها كلية الطب التي تمثل أبرز الكليات في الجامعة، وتحظى بتصنيف متقدم على مستوى جامعات المملكة بحصولها على أعلى الدرجات في اختبار التخصصات الصحية، وقد أثارت تلك المعلومات استياء أولياء الأمور والأهالي بشكل عام، ودفع ببعضهم لرفع شكاوى للجهات العليا طلباً لمنع هذا التوجه عند الجامعة.
The spokesperson for Bisha University, Dr. Saad Al-Ramthi, denied the information circulating in the community about the university's intention to merge or eliminate existing colleges. Al-Ramthi told "Okaz" that what is being circulated is incorrect, and that the university council approved in its fourth session for the academic year 1447 AH last Thursday the admission seats in the university's programs for the Hijri year 1448 AH, including the number of accepted students in the College of Medicine. He added that the required data is available on the university's website.
The community in Bisha had circulated disturbing information stating that the university intends to reduce the number of colleges by merging and dissolving some of them, and to eliminate other colleges, including the College of Medicine, which is one of the most prominent colleges at the university and enjoys a high ranking among universities in the Kingdom by achieving the highest scores in the health specialties exam. This information has caused dissatisfaction among parents and the community in general, prompting some to file complaints with higher authorities in an effort to prevent this direction at the university.
