تسببت سيول وادي الطوقي، شمال الرياض، في انقلاب شاحنة محمّلة بالإبل، إثر الأمطار الغزيرة التي هطلت على المنطقة.
وكانت الشاحنة تسير على الطريق الإسفلتي أثناء تدفق المياه، قبل أن تجرفها السيول عن مسارها، ما أدى إلى انقلابها وسقوطها خارج الطريق، وتبعثر الإبل في مياه السيل.
وتشهد منطقة الرياض منذ ساعات أمطاراً غزيرة تسببت في جريان عدد من الأودية والشعاب، وسط تحذيرات من الجهات المختصة بعدم عبور الطرق المتقاطعة مع السيول، لا سيما في ذروة الأمطار.
ويُعد وادي الطوقي من الأودية المعروفة بشدة جريانها وسرعة امتلائها عند هطول الأمطار، مما يستدعي الحذر عند الاقتراب أو العبور.
أمطار ديمية
وكشف المتحدث باسم المركز الوطني للأرصاد حسين القحطاني بأن الحالة المطرية التي شهدتها الرياض، أخيراً، كانت في مجملها أمطاراً ديمية، تخللتها هطولات متوسطة إلى غزيرة على بعض الأحياء، مع تساقط حبات البرد خلال الفترة المسائية.
وقال عبر حسابه على موقع X: «من المؤسف أن بعض المقاطع يتم تداولها في وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي حول غرق بعض المواقع وهي غير صحيحة، ولا تعكس حقيقة الحالة المطرية، ونؤكد أهمية الاعتماد على المصادر الرسمية الموثوقة».
وأضاف القحطاني: سُجِّلت أعلى كمية هطول بالعاصمة 12 مليمتراً، وبلغت على مستوى المنطقة 24 مليمتراً في محمية الملك خالد، وفقاً لمحطات المركز.
The floods of Wadi Al-Tuqai, north of Riyadh, caused a truck loaded with camels to overturn due to the heavy rains that fell in the area.
The truck was driving on the asphalt road when the water began to flow, before the floods swept it off its path, leading to its overturning and falling off the road, scattering the camels in the floodwaters.
The Riyadh region has been experiencing heavy rains for several hours, causing several valleys and streams to flow, amid warnings from the relevant authorities not to cross roads intersecting with the floods, especially during peak rainfall.
Wadi Al-Tuqai is known for its strong flow and rapid filling during rainfall, which necessitates caution when approaching or crossing it.
Continuous Rain
The spokesperson for the National Center of Meteorology, Hussein Al-Qahtani, revealed that the rainfall experienced in Riyadh recently was mostly continuous rain, interspersed with moderate to heavy showers in some neighborhoods, along with hail falling during the evening period.
He stated via his account on X: "It is unfortunate that some clips are being circulated on social media about the flooding of certain locations, which are incorrect and do not reflect the reality of the rainfall situation. We emphasize the importance of relying on trusted official sources."
Al-Qahtani added: The highest recorded rainfall in the capital was 12 millimeters, while it reached 24 millimeters in the King Khalid Reserve, according to the center's stations.
