أدانت المملكة العربية السعودية، واستنكرت بأشد العبارات العمل الإرهابي الذي استهدف كنيسة في محافظة الكرك بالمملكة الأردنية الهاشمية، وأسفر عن وفاة وإصابة عدد من الأبرياء.
جاء ذلك، خلال اتصال هاتفي أجراه وزير الخارجية الأمير فيصل بن فرحان بن عبدالله، مع نائب رئيس الوزراء ووزير الخارجية وشؤون المغتربين الأردني أيمن الصفدي، قدّم خلاله خالص التعازي لذوي الضحايا ولحكومة وشعب الأردن الشقيق. وبحث الوزيران مستجدات الأوضاع الإقليمية والجهود المبذولة لتعزيز الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة.
من جهة ثانية، استعرض الأمير فيصل بن فرحان، خلال اتصال هاتفي تلقاه من وزير العلاقات الدولية والتعاون في جمهورية جنوب أفريقيا رونالد لامولا، العلاقات الثنائية بين البلدين، وبحث الجانبان سبل تعزيز التعاون المشترك في مختلف المجالات بما يخدم مصالحهما المتبادلة.
كما تبادل الجانبان وجهات النظر حيال مستجدات الأوضاع الإقليمية والدولية، والجهود المبذولة لمعالجة التحديات الراهنة بما يدعم الأمن والاستقرار إقليمياً ودولياً.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia condemned and strongly denounced the terrorist act that targeted a church in the Karak Governorate of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, which resulted in the death and injury of a number of innocents.
This came during a phone call made by Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah with Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, during which he extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and to the government and people of brotherly Jordan. The two ministers discussed the latest developments in the regional situation and the efforts being made to enhance security and stability in the region.
On another note, Prince Faisal bin Farhan reviewed, during a phone call he received from the Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of the Republic of South Africa, Ronald Lamola, the bilateral relations between the two countries, and both sides discussed ways to enhance mutual cooperation in various fields to serve their mutual interests.
The two sides also exchanged views on the latest developments in regional and international situations, and the efforts being made to address current challenges in a way that supports security and stability both regionally and internationally.
