أكد عضو مجلس القيادة الرئاسي اليمني الفريق أول عبدالرحمن المحرميأبو زرعة، أن الروح المعنوية لأبطال القوات المسلحة في أعلى مستوياتها، وأنهم في حالة عالية من الجاهزية والاستعداد، ويؤدون مهامهم في مختلف الجبهات بثبات وشجاعة وانضباط، ويحققون تقدماً وانتصارات في عدد من الجبهات. وقال، في حوار أجرته معه «عكاظ»: «إنهم يسطرون، في ميادين الشرف والدفاع، صفحات جديدة من البطولة والمسؤولية الوطنية». مشيراً إلى أن المقاتلين اليوم أكثر إدراكاً لحجم الخطر الذي تمثله مليشيا الحوثي الإرهابية، وما ترتبط به من دعم إيراني، ولذلك، فإن لديهم قناعة متزايدة بضرورة حسم هذه المواجهة، وإنهاء حالة التهديد المستمرة التي فرضتها المليشيا على اليمن والمنطقة. مبيناً، أنه يتم العمل بكل الأسباب والإمكانات للوصول إلى النصر واستعادة مؤسسات الدولة وترسيخ الأمن والاستقرار في مختلف أنحاء البلاد. وقال، إن ما نشهده في بعض الجبهات يعكس تحولاً واضحاً في طبيعة المعركة، مع دخول قدرات حديثة، بينها الطيران المسيّر بمختلف أنواعه، التي أسهمت في استهداف قدرات مليشيات الحوثي الإرهابية واستنزافها وتقليص الإمكانات العسكرية التي راكمتها خلال سنوات بدعم من إيران والحرس الثوري الإيراني. وتطرق أبو زرعة إلى مواضيع مهمة من خلال الحوار التالي:
معنويات القوات المسلحة عالية
• بعد تحرك الجبهات في مواجهة المليشيا الحوثية كيف تجدون الروح المعنوية لأبطال القوات المسلحة؟
•• الروح المعنوية لأبطال قواتنا المسلحة في أعلى مستوياتها، وهم في حالة عالية من الجاهزية والاستعداد، ويؤدون مهامهم في مختلف الجبهات بثبات وشجاعة وانضباط، ويواجهون المحاولات الحوثية بصمود واقتدار، ويحققون تقدماً وانتصارات في عدد من الجبهات. إنهم يسطرون، في ميادين الشرف والدفاع، صفحات جديدة من البطولة والمسؤولية الوطنية. هذه المعنويات تستند إلى إيمان راسخ بعدالة قضيتنا الوطنية، وإدراك عميق لطبيعة الخطر الذي يمثله المشروع الحوثي، ولحجم المسؤولية الملقاة على عاتق قواتنا المسلحة. فالمقاتل في الميدان يدرك أنه لا يدافع عن موقع عسكري فحسب، وإنما يؤدي دوراً في حماية شعبه، وصون هويته وحريته، وحماية أمن اليمن والمنطقة. ومن خلال متابعتنا الميدانية والمستمرة، نلمس حالة واضحة من الثبات والثقة والجاهزية لدى المقاتلين، وهم أكثر وعياً بطبيعة المعركة وأبعادها، وأكثر إدراكاً لما يمكن أن تحققه نتائجها للشعب اليمني، شماله وجنوبه، ولأمن المنطقة والاستقرار الإقليمي. والأهم أن المعنويات الحقيقية لا تُقاس بالشعارات، وإنما بما نراه في الميدان من انضباط وثبات وجاهزية وتحمل للمسؤولية. وهذه هي الروح التي نراهن عليها في قواتنا المسلحة: وعي بالمهمة، وإدراك لطبيعة المخاطر، واستعداد للقيام بالواجب الوطني بكل مسؤولية. كما أن المقاتلين اليوم أكثر إدراكاً لحجم الخطر الذي تمثله مليشيا الحوثي الإرهابية، وما ترتبط به من دعم إيراني، ولذلك فإن لديهم قناعة متزايدة بضرورة حسم هذه المواجهة، وإنهاء حالة التهديد المستمرة التي فرضتها المليشيا على اليمن والمنطقة، خصوصاً بعد أن أغلقت كل فرص السلام، وأصرت على أن لا تكون إلا أداة حرب إيرانية ضد البلاد. نحن نثق بقواتنا، وبقدرتها على أداء واجبها، لكننا في الوقت نفسه ندرك أن الانتصار لا تصنعه القوة وحدها؛ بل تصنعه الجاهزية، والانضباط، ووحدة الهدف، ووضوح الرؤية، والإرادة التي تتحول إلى عمل في الميدان.
صمود وانتصارات الفخر والاعتزاز
• كيف تنظرون إلى ما يتحقق في بعض الجبهات من انتصارات، وما توقعاتكم للمستقبل؟
•• ننظر إلى ما يتحقق في الميدان من صمود وانتصارات بفخر واعتزاز؛ فهي تؤكد أن إرادة الشعب اليمني وقواته المسلحة لا يمكن كسرها أمام مشروع الحوثي وارتهانه الخارجي. وما نشهده في بعض الجبهات يعكس تحولاً واضحاً في طبيعة المعركة، مع دخول قدرات حديثة، بينها الطيران المسيّر بمختلف أنواعه، أسهمت في استهداف قدرات مليشيات الحوثي الإرهابية واستنزافها وتقليص الإمكانات العسكرية التي راكمتها خلال سنوات بدعم من إيران والحرس الثوري الإيراني. كما أن قدرة قواتنا على التعامل مع ما جمعته المليشيات من أسلحة ومعدات في مختلف خطوط التماس تمثل تحولًاً مهماً في مسار المواجهة. وقد انعكس ذلك ميدانياً في باب المندب وكهبوب ومناطق الصبيحة وغرب تعز، اذ حاول الحوثي الدفع بحشود كبيرة والتقدم إلى ما هو أبعد، لكنه اصطدم بمقاومة صلبة حالت دون تحقيق أهدافه. أما المستقبل، فنحن ننظر إليه بثقة، ونعمل بكل الأسباب والإمكانات للوصول إلى النصر واستعادة مؤسسات الدولة وترسيخ الأمن والاستقرار في مختلف أنحاء البلاد. وما نشهده اليوم من عبث وقتل وخراب تتسبب به مليشيا الإرهاب الحوثية لن يكون قدر اليمن الدائم؛ فلدينا رجال في الميدان يتمتعون بأعلى درجات الجاهزية، ويدركون حجم المسؤولية الملقاة على عاتقهم، ومستعدون لأداء واجبهم وخوض معركة الخلاص متى صدرت توجيهات القيادة. وبالتالي، نحن على ثقة بأن المرحلة القادمة ستشهد تحولاً في المعادلة العسكرية، وأن إرادة اليمنيين في استعادة دولتهم وأمنهم واستقرارهم ستنتصر في نهاية المطاف.
الحوثي تهديد للأمن القومي
• وانتم اليوم تعملون على استعادتها ماذا كان يعني لكم سيطرة المليشيا الحوثية على الساحل الغربي وباب المندب وبعض الجزر؟
•• سيطرة مليشيات الحوثي الإرهابية على أجزاء من الساحل الغربي وباب المندب لا شك تمثل خطراً مباشراً على الأمن القومي اليمني، وتهديداً متواصلاً لأمن المنطقة والملاحة الدولية. فوجود جماعة إرهابية على خطوط الملاحة في البحر الأحمر وباب المندب، واستخدام هذه المواقع لتهديد حركة التجارة الدولية، يضع واحداً من أهم الممرات البحرية في العالم أمام مخاطر لا ينبغي للمجتمع الدولي أن يتعامل معها باعتبارها شأناً يمنياً محضاً. ونحن نرى، أن الحوثيين يمثلون أداة في المشروع الإيراني، وأن هناك سعياً واضحاً لفرض نفوذ إيراني على مواقع إستراتيجية وممرات بحرية بالغة الأهمية. ولذلك فإن ما يجري في الساحل الغربي وباب المندب يتجاوز الصراع الداخلي؛ لأنه يمس أمن الممرات الدولية ومصالح دول المنطقة والعالم. لقد أدت هذه السيطرة والاعتداءات على الملاحة إلى تعميق معاناة اليمنيين، وتحويل بعض الموانئ والمواقع الساحلية إلى ساحات عسكرية، بدل أن تكون جسوراً للتجارة والتنمية. ولهذا نؤكد باستمرار ضرورة أن يتحمل المجتمع الدولي مسؤوليته في حماية حرية الملاحة ودعم استعادة مؤسسات الدولة لسيطرتها على أراضيها ومياهها الإقليمية. وباب المندب ممر دولي حيوي، والساحل والجزر جزء أصيل من سيادة الدولة اليمنية، ولا ينبغي أن يتحول هذا الموقع إلى أداة للابتزاز أو تهديد الملاحة الدولية. ونحن على ثقة بأن هذا الوضع لن يكون دائماً، وأن هذه المناطق ستعود إلى سلطة الدولة، ليبقى باب المندب ممراً آمناً للتجارة والملاحة، لا ورقة تستخدمها إيران أو أي طرف آخر لتهديد أمن المنطقة والعالم.
بناء إستراتيجية عسكرية وأمنية
• كيف يمكن الاستفادة من ذلك واسترداد جميع المواقع التي سيطر عليها الحوثيون؟
•• الاستفادة الأساسية تكمن في إظهار الحقيقة أمام المجتمع الدولي، أن هذه المليشيا الإرهابية المدعومة من النظام الإيراني، كما أثبتت ممارساتها وسلوكها على مدى سنوات، لم تُظهر التزاماً جاداً بالسلام أو بالمواثيق والقرارات الدولية. أما استعادة الأراضي والمواقع التي سيطرت عليها، فتتطلب قبل كل شيء توحيد الطاقات والجهود الوطنية، وبناء إستراتيجية عسكرية وأمنية متكاملة، وتمكين القوات المسلحة، إلى جانب استمرار الدعم والإسناد من أشقائنا في التحالف العربي بقيادة المملكة العربية السعودية. وبطبيعة الحال، لا يمكن النظر إلى فقدان أي جزء من الأراضي المحررة باعتباره أمراً إيجابياً، ولا سيما عندما يتعلق الأمر بمواقع إستراتيجية كالساحل الغربي وباب المندب والجزر. لكننا نتعامل في الوقت ذاته مع واقع ميداني متغير، يفرض علينا إعادة تقييم الموقف والاستفادة من المعطيات الجديدة، بما يعزز قدرة قواتنا على استعادة زمام المبادرة. والأهم أن استعادة هذه المناطق لا ينبغي أن تُفهم باعتبارها هدفاً عسكرياً منفصلاً، وإنما جزءاً من معركة وطنية أوسع لاستعادة مؤسسات الدولة، وتأمين الأراضي والممرات البحرية، وإنهاء حالة الانقسام والتهديد، ووضع حد للنفوذ الإيراني في بلادنا. هدفنا في النهاية ليس استعادة الأرض التي خسرناها فحسب، بل استعادة الدولة؛ وليس تغيير خطوط السيطرة فقط، بل بناء دولة آمنة ومستقرة، تمتلك قرارها وتحمي أرضها وممراتها ومصالحها الوطنية.
• كيف هو تماسك الجبهات، وماذا عن إدارة العمليات لجميع القوات من غرفة واحدة؟
•• الجبهات اليوم أكثر تماسكاً، وهناك مستوى واضح من التنسيق والتكامل بين مختلف القوات والتشكيلات العسكرية. الجميع يدرك أن المعركة واحدة، وأن اختلاف الوحدات والتشكيلات لا ينبغي أن يحجب وحدة الهدف: مواجهة مليشيات الحوثي، واستعادة المناطق، وإنهاء الانقلاب. ومنذ تأسيس مجلس القيادة الرئاسي، أولينا مسألة توحيد الجهد العسكري والأمني أولوية قصوى، وقطعنا عبر اللجنة العسكرية والأمنية المشتركة شوطاً مهماً في توحيد المفاهيم وتعزيز التنسيق القيادي والعملياتي. كما نعمل بصورة مستمرة على تطوير آليات القيادة والسيطرة بما يضمن توجيه القدرات العسكرية نحو أهداف واضحة ومشتركة. أما غرفة العمليات المشتركة، فهي قائمة بالفعل وليست وليدة التطورات الأخيرة، وقد راكمت خلال السنوات الماضية خبرة في التنسيق والربط العملياتي وتبادل المعلومات ومتابعة سير العمليات بين مختلف القوات والتشكيلات. واليوم أصبح هذا التنسيق أكثر فاعلية؛ فلكل قوة ووحدة مهامها وأدوارها المحددة، بما يضمن تكامل الجهد العسكري ويحد من الازدواجية وتضارب المهام. والمسألة بالنسبة لنا تتمثل في بناء منظومة قيادة وتنسيق تجعل تعدد القوات مصدر قوة، لأن الجميع يعمل ضمن هدف وطني واحد ورؤية عسكرية مشتركة.
• ألا تخشون من تراجع في بعض الجبهات؟
•• الحرب بطبيعتها سجال، وتفرض أحياناً الكر والفر والمناورة والتكتيك العسكري، لكن الخوف ليس في قاموس قواتنا المسلحة ولا في قاموس شعبنا. نحن نثق بيقظة رجالنا واستبسالهم في ميدان المعركة، وندرك أن أي تراجع تكتيكي في أي جبهة لا يعني خسارة المعركة، وإنما قد يفرض إعادة ترتيب الأوراق، وتقييم الموقف، واستعادة المبادرة في التوقيت المناسب. فالإرادة الصلبة، ووضوح الهدف وعدالته، كفيلة بتجاوز مختلف التحديات. واليوم، تمتلك مختلف الجبهات والتشكيلات العسكرية إمكانات كبيرة لخوض المعركة، وأصبحت أكثر تنظيماً وتدريباً وجاهزية، ولديها القدرة على التعامل مع تحديات الميدان، بل والمبادرة والتقدم وتحقيق الانتصارات. ولذلك، فإن المخاوف التي يتضمنها السؤال لا نجد لها ما يبررها في واقعنا الميداني، بل إن المعطيات القائمة تعزز ثقتنا بأن المرحلة القادمة ستشهد مزيداً من التقدم والانتصارات في مختلف المناطق. كما أن هناك استعداداً كبيراً لتحرك جماعي ومتزامن من مختلف الجبهات، بما يفرض على الحوثيين التعامل مع ضغوط متعددة في وقت واحد، ويحد من قدرتهم على تركيز إمكاناتهم في جبهة واحدة مستفيدين من توقف الجبهات الأخرى. وكذلك فإن تعدد محاور المواجهة سيجعل الإسناد الإيراني النوعي أكثر صعوبة في توظيفه بصورة مركزة في اتجاه واحد. وبالتالي، سيواصل الحوثي القتال، وستواصل إيران دعمها له، لكننا نثق بالله أولاً، ثم بقواتنا ورجالنا، وبصدقهم وإخلاصهم وثباتهم ووفائهم. وهذه الثقة تستند إلى ما نراه من يقظة واستعداد وتماسك في مختلف الجبهات. وبإذن الله، سنتغلب على هذا المشروع الذي لم يجلب لبلادنا سوى مزيد من المعاناة والدمار وسفك الدماء، وستنتصر إرادة اليمنيين في استعادة دولتهم وأمنهم واستقرارهم.
المرابطون فخر لكل الشرفاء
• ما كلمتكم لأبطال القوات المسلحة؟
•• كلمتي لأبنائي وإخواني المرابطين في ثغور الوطن وفي مختلف الجبهات: أنتم فخر لكل الشرفاء في هذا الوطن، ورمز لعزته وكرامته، وما تقدمونه من تضحيات وبذل وإقدام محل تقدير واعتزاز من شعبكم وقيادتكم. واصلوا ثباتكم، وتمسكوا بمسؤولياتكم، واعلموا أن تضحياتكم لن تذهب سدى، وأن التاريخ سيحفظ لكم ما تقدمونه من أجل وطنكم وأمنه واستقراره. نحيّيكم ونثمّن عالياً ما تسطرونه في الميدان من بطولات، وما تحققونه من إنجازات، وما تبذلونه من جهود في مواجهة الحوثيين. وما تحققونه يؤكد ثباتكم وقوة حضوركم وقدرتكم على التعامل مع مختلف تحديات الميدان، وهو مصدر فخر واعتزاز لنا جميعًا. إن المرحلة اليوم تتطلب رفع الجاهزية إلى أعلى مستوياتها، وتشديد اليقظة، وتعزيز الانضباط والروح المعنوية، ورفع مستوى التنسيق والتكامل بين مختلف الوحدات والتشكيلات، والاستعداد الكامل للتعامل مع مختلف التطورات، وتنفيذ التوجيهات والمهام الموكلة بكفاءة ومسؤولية. أنتم اليوم أمام معركة مشرفة ومسؤولية كبيرة لاستعادة المناطق من سيطرة مليشيات الحوثي الإرهابية، وهذا يتطلب من كل مقاتل أن يكون على قدرٍ عالٍ من المسؤولية الملقاة على عاتقه، وأن يحافظ الجميع على الثبات، والمعنويات العالية، والثقة بالنفس وبرفاق السلاح. ونحن على ثقة بأنكم أهلٌ لهذه المهام، وقادرون على صناعة نقطة فارقة تغيّر موازين القوى، وتفرض واقعًا جديدًا في مناطق سيطرة الحوثي، وتحرر أهلها من بطش المليشيات الحوثية الإرهابية، وتعيد إليها الأمن والاستقرار.
• ماذا قدمتم للنازحين الهاربين من جحيم المليشيات الحوثية؟
•• ملف النازحين والمهجّرين قسراً هو أولوية إنسانية وأخلاقية للمجلس والحكومة. وقد سخّرنا مختلف الإمكانات المتاحة، بالتنسيق مع السلطات المحلية في المحافظات المحررة، التي سارعت منذ اللحظة الأولى وبذلت جهوداً كبيرة لتوفير المأوى والخدمات الأساسية والأمن لهؤلاء المواطنين. كما نعمل بصورة متواصلة مع المنظمات الدولية والمجتمع الدولي لتخفيف معاناة الملايين الذين شُرّدوا من ديارهم جراء بطش المليشيات الحوثية. والنازحون الذين فرّوا من بطش مليشيات الحوثي هم أهلنا، والتعامل مع معاناتهم مسؤولية الدولة بكل مؤسساتها. ونحن نتابع أوضاعهم من خلال الوزارات والجهات الحكومية المعنية، والسلطات المحلية في العاصمة عدن ومحافظتي لحج وأبين، للعمل على توفير أهم الحاجات الأساسية والضرورية لهم. وقد اتخذت الجهات المعنية إجراءات عملية تشمل استقبال النازحين وتسجيلهم وحصر حاجاتهم، وتوفير أماكن الإيواء، وتأمين الغذاء والمياه والخدمات الصحية، وتسهيل وصول المساعدات الإنسانية، إلى جانب توفير الحماية ومتابعة أوضاع الأسر الأشد احتياجًا. كما تعمل السلطات المحلية بالتنسيق مع المنظمات الإنسانية والجهات الداعمة، ومن بينها مركز الملك سلمان للإغاثة والأعمال الإنسانية، الذي أسهم في تقديم المساعدات الغذائية للأسر النازحة. ويتواصل عمل الجهات المعنية في تنظيم المخيمات، ومتابعة مستوى الخدمات، والتعامل مع الحاجات الطارئة، بما يخفف من معاناة هذه الأسر ويحفظ لها كرامتها وحقها في حياة آمنة ومستقرة.
• ما هو المطلوب من المجتمع الدولي والهيئات والمنظمات لمساعدة النازحين على مواجهة الظروف الصعبة التي يعيشونها؟
•• المطلوب هو الانتقال من موقف التنديد والدعم الإنساني المحدود إلى خطوات عملية ومستدامة، تتضمن تمويل خطط الاستجابة الإنسانية بصورة كافية، والضغط على مليشيات الحوثي لوقف نهب المساعدات ورفع الحصار، والأهم من ذلك دعم جهود الحكومة لاستعادة الدولة، باعتبار ذلك حلاً جذرياً لإنهاء الأزمة الإنسانية، وتهيئة الظروف للعودة الكريمة والآمنة للنازحين إلى منازلهم. كما أن المطلوب من المجتمع الدولي والمنظمات الإنسانية هو مضاعفة الدعم المقدم للنازحين، لأن حجم الاحتياج أكبر من الإمكانات المتاحة حالياً. فالنازحون بحاجة إلى دعم حقيقي ومستمر في الغذاء والمياه والرعاية الصحية والإيواء والتعليم، إلى جانب مساندة السلطات المحلية التي تتحمل العبء الأكبر في استقبال هذه الأسر وتوفير الخدمات الأساسية لها. وهناك أيضًا حاجة ملحة إلى تمويل البرامج الإنسانية بصورة مستدامة، وتسريع إيصال المساعدات إلى مستحقيها، وإعطاء الأولوية للأسر الأكثر احتياجاً، ولا سيما الأطفال والنساء، إلى جانب دعم المشاريع التي تساعد النازحين على الاعتماد على أنفسهم وتحسين ظروفهم المعيشية. وفي الوقت نفسه، لا بد للمجتمع الدولي من التعامل مع أصل المشكلة ومصدر معاناة النازحين، والمتمثل في مليشيات الحوثي الإرهابية، التي تواصل تهجير السكان من مناطقهم نتيجة ما تمارسه من بطش وانتهاكات بحقهم، الأمر الذي يدفع الأسر إلى ترك منازلها ومناطقها والبحث عن أماكن أكثر أمناً. ولذلك، فإن على المجتمع الدولي الوقوف إلى جانب الحكومة في حماية المدنيين، وممارسة مزيد من الضغط لردع مليشيات الحوثي ووقف ممارساتها التي تدفع إلى استمرار النزوح، بالتوازي مع دعم الاستجابة الإنسانية، حتى لا يبقى النازحون أسرى لأزمة مفتوحة، وإنما تتوفر لهم الظروف التي تضمن لهم حياة كريمة وعودة آمنة ومستقرة إلى ديارهم.
• كيف تنظرون إلى الدور الإيراني وتدخله في اليمن ودعمه للمليشيا الحوثية؟
•• النظام الإيراني يمارس دوراً تخريبياً في اليمن من خلال دعمه للمليشيا الحوثية وانقلابها على مؤسسات الدولة، وهو تدخل عدواني سافر في شأن سيادة دولة مستقلة، حيث تجاوز حدود دعم جماعة إرهابية تدمر وتزعزع أمن اليمن واستقراره، ووصل إلى وجود عسكري للحرس الثوري الإيراني، من خبراء وقيادات ومستشارين، ومنشآت إيرانية لتصنيع الصواريخ والطائرات المسيّرة والقوارب المفخخة، وتشغيلها وإطلاقها من الأراضي اليمنية التي تقع تحت سيطرة الحوثيين. وتستخدم إيران هذه القدرات لتنفيذ عمليات عسكرية تخدم مصالحها وأجندتها الإقليمية، مستغلةً مليشيات الحوثي كأداة لتنفيذ أهدافها على حساب الشعب اليمني وسيادة اليمن وأمن المنطقة. وصار قادة الحرس الثوري الإيراني يمسكون زمام المليشيات ويتخذون قرارات حربها، بل ويقودونها ميدانياً في أرض المعركة، في هجماتها على المناطق والمدن اليمنية. ونعلم جميعاً أهمية باب المندب والبحر الأحمر كممرات للملاحة الدولية، وأهميتهما في الحسابات الإيرانية؛ إذ تسعى إيران إلى استخدام هذا الموقع الاستراتيجي ورقة ضغط على المجتمع الدولي، وتهديد ممرات التجارة والملاحة الدولية، بما يخدم مصالحها في صراعاتها وحساباتها الخاصة. وبالتالي، فإن الهجمات الأخيرة التي استهدفت باب المندب والجزر في البحر الأحمر هي هجمات إيرانية، وتتطلب موقفًا دوليًا حازمًا لدعم اليمن في معركة استعادة أراضيه من السيطرة الإيرانية وأداتها المحلية، المليشيات الحوثية.
ستُكسر شوكة المشروع الإيراني
• ألا تعتقدون أنه بالإمكان كسر شوكة الحوثيين وطرد الإيرانيين من اليمن.. كيف يتحقق ذلك؟
•• بالتأكيد، ستُكسر شوكة هذا المشروع، وتحرير اليمن منه أمر حتمي وممكن وضروري جداً. ويتحقق ذلك عبر عوامل رئيسية، أهمها: أولاً: تلاحم وتوحيد الصف الوطني، وترك الخلافات الجانبية جانباً، وتوجيه الجهود نحو الهدف الوطني المشترك. ثانياً: بناء وتجهيز المؤسسة العسكرية، وتوفير الدعم النوعي واللازم لتمكينها من حسم المعركة واستعادة المناطق الخاضعة لسيطرة المليشيات الحوثية. ثالثاً: الاستفادة من النماذج الناجحة في دحر وهزيمة هذه الجماعة، لا سيما في الجنوب والساحل الغربي ومديريات شبوة، وكذلك ما تحقق من صمود في العديد من الجبهات، إلى جانب تقييم الأخطاء التي تسببت في إخفاقات سابقة، والعمل على معالجتها وضمان عدم تكرارها. رابعاً: التكامل والشراكة الإستراتيجية الممتدة مع أشقائنا في التحالف العربي والمجتمع الدولي، لتجفيف منابع الدعم الإيراني، وتطبيق القرارات الدولية ذات الصلة، وفي مقدمتها القرار 2216. وهزيمة مليشيات الحوثي وكسر شوكتها أمر لا مناص منه، واليوم صار ذلك أقرب من أي وقت مضى. فهذه المليشيات مصيرها الزوال، والشعب اليمني وقواته العسكرية يمتلكون من الصلابة والإرادة ما يكفي لإنهاء مشروعها. ومع اتساع الرفض الشعبي لممارساتها وانتهاكاتها، فإن المعركة اليوم هي معركة إرادة وثبات، لاستعادة المناطق من سيطرة المليشيات الحوثية الإرهابية، التي عاثت فيها فسادًا، وأثقلت كاهل الشعب اليمني بالانتهاكات والدمار. وسيتحقق ذلك من خلال رصّ الصفوف، وتوحيد الجهود، والتكاتف والتنسيق المستمر بين القوات العسكرية في جبهات القتال، إلى جانب الإسناد الشعبي للقوات المسلحة، وموقف دولي واضح وحازم لدعم الدولة في معركة الخلاص من جماعة مرتبطة بالمشروع الإيراني، الذي يهدد مصالح واستقرار المجتمع الدولي بأسره.

Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council member, Lieutenant General Abdulrahman Al-Mahrami Abu Zar'ah, confirmed that the morale of the armed forces' heroes is at its highest levels, and they are in a state of high readiness and preparedness. He stated in an interview with "Okaz": "They are writing new pages of heroism and national responsibility in the fields of honor and defense." He pointed out that the fighters today are more aware of the magnitude of the danger posed by the terrorist Houthi militia and its Iranian support. Therefore, they have an increasing conviction of the necessity to decisively resolve this confrontation and end the ongoing threat that the militia has imposed on Yemen and the region. He explained that all possible means and resources are being utilized to achieve victory, restore state institutions, and establish security and stability throughout the country. He noted that what we are witnessing on some fronts reflects a clear transformation in the nature of the battle, with the introduction of modern capabilities, including various types of drones, which have contributed to targeting and depleting the capabilities of the terrorist Houthi militias and reducing the military resources they have accumulated over the years with support from Iran and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. • After the movement of the fronts against the Houthi militia, how do you find the morale of the armed forces' heroes?
•• The morale of our armed forces' heroes is at its highest levels, and they are in a state of high readiness and preparedness. They perform their duties on various fronts with steadfastness, courage, and discipline, facing Houthi attempts with resilience and capability, achieving progress and victories in several areas. They are writing new pages of heroism and national responsibility in the fields of honor and defense. This morale is based on a firm belief in the justice of our national cause and a deep understanding of the nature of the danger posed by the Houthi project and the magnitude of the responsibility placed on our armed forces. The fighter in the field understands that he is not only defending a military position but also playing a role in protecting his people, preserving their identity and freedom, and safeguarding the security of Yemen and the region. Through our continuous field monitoring, we observe a clear state of steadfastness, confidence, and readiness among the fighters. They are more aware of the nature of the battle and its dimensions, and they understand what its outcomes can achieve for the Yemeni people, both in the north and south, as well as for regional security and stability. Most importantly, true morale is not measured by slogans but by what we see in the field in terms of discipline, steadfastness, readiness, and accountability. This is the spirit we bet on in our armed forces: awareness of the mission, understanding of the nature of the risks, and readiness to fulfill the national duty with full responsibility. Moreover, the fighters today are more aware of the magnitude of the danger posed by the terrorist Houthi militia and its Iranian support. Therefore, they have an increasing conviction of the necessity to decisively resolve this confrontation and end the ongoing threat that the militia has imposed on Yemen and the region, especially after they closed all opportunities for peace and insisted on being nothing but an Iranian war tool against the country. Resilience and Victories of Pride and Honor
• How do you view the victories achieved on some fronts, and what are your expectations for the future?
•• We view the resilience and victories achieved in the field with pride and honor; they confirm that the will of the Yemeni people and their armed forces cannot be broken in the face of the Houthi project and its external subjugation. What we are witnessing on some fronts reflects a clear transformation in the nature of the battle, with the introduction of modern capabilities, including various types of drones, which have contributed to targeting and depleting the capabilities of the terrorist Houthi militias and reducing the military resources they have accumulated over the years with support from Iran and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. Additionally, our forces' ability to deal with the weapons and equipment amassed by the militias along various contact lines represents an important shift in the course of the confrontation. This has been reflected in the field in Bab al-Mandab, Khaboub, and the areas of Al-Sabiah and west of Taiz, where the Houthis attempted to push large crowds and advance further, but they encountered solid resistance that prevented them from achieving their objectives. As for the future, we look at it with confidence and work with all available means and resources to achieve victory, restore state institutions, and establish security and stability throughout the country. What we are witnessing today of chaos, killing, and destruction caused by the Houthi terrorist militia will not be Yemen's permanent fate; we have men in the field who possess the highest levels of readiness, understand the magnitude of the responsibility placed on their shoulders, and are ready to fulfill their duty and engage in the battle for salvation whenever the leadership issues directives. Therefore, we are confident that the coming phase will witness a shift in the military equation and that the will of the Yemenis to restore their state, security, and stability will ultimately prevail.
The Houthi is a Threat to National Security
• As you work on restoring it, what does the control of the Houthi militia over the western coast, Bab al-Mandab, and some islands mean to you?
•• The control of the terrorist Houthi militias over parts of the western coast and Bab al-Mandab undoubtedly represents a direct danger to Yemeni national security and a continuous threat to the security of the region and international navigation. The presence of a terrorist group on shipping lines in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab, and the use of these sites to threaten international trade, places one of the most important maritime corridors in the world at risks that the international community should not treat as merely a Yemeni affair. We see that the Houthis represent a tool in the Iranian project, and there is a clear effort to impose Iranian influence over strategic locations and extremely important maritime passages. Therefore, what is happening on the western coast and Bab al-Mandab goes beyond the internal conflict; it touches upon the security of international corridors and the interests of countries in the region and the world. This control and the attacks on navigation have deepened the suffering of Yemenis, turning some ports and coastal sites into military arenas instead of being bridges for trade and development. Thus, we continuously emphasize the necessity for the international community to assume its responsibility in protecting freedom of navigation and supporting the restoration of state institutions to regain control over its lands and territorial waters. Bab al-Mandab is a vital international passage, and the coast and islands are an integral part of the sovereignty of the Yemeni state, and this site should not be turned into a tool for extortion or a threat to international navigation. We are confident that this situation will not last forever and that these areas will return to the authority of the state, allowing Bab al-Mandab to remain a safe passage for trade and navigation, not a card used by Iran or any other party to threaten the security of the region and the world.
Building a Military and Security Strategy
• How can we benefit from this and recover all the sites controlled by the Houthis?
•• The fundamental benefit lies in revealing the truth to the international community that this terrorist militia, supported by the Iranian regime, as proven by its practices and behavior over the years, has not shown a serious commitment to peace or to international treaties and resolutions. As for recovering the lands and sites they have controlled, it requires, first and foremost, unifying national energies and efforts, building a comprehensive military and security strategy, and empowering the armed forces, alongside the continued support and assistance from our brothers in the Arab coalition led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Naturally, we cannot view the loss of any part of the liberated territories as a positive matter, especially when it comes to strategic locations like the western coast, Bab al-Mandab, and the islands. However, we are also dealing with a changing field reality that requires us to reassess the situation and benefit from new data to enhance our forces' ability to regain the initiative. Most importantly, the recovery of these areas should not be understood as a separate military objective but rather as part of a broader national battle to restore state institutions, secure lands and maritime passages, end the state of division and threat, and put an end to Iranian influence in our country. Our goal, in the end, is not only to recover the land we have lost but to restore the state; not just to change lines of control but to build a secure and stable state that possesses its decision and protects its land, passages, and national interests.
• How is the cohesion of the fronts, and what about the management of operations for all forces from a single room?
•• The fronts today are more cohesive, and there is a clear level of coordination and integration among various forces and military formations. Everyone understands that the battle is one, and the differences between units and formations should not obscure the unity of purpose: confronting the Houthi militias, regaining areas, and ending the coup. Since the establishment of the Presidential Leadership Council, we have prioritized the issue of unifying military and security efforts, and we have made significant progress through the joint military and security committee in unifying concepts and enhancing leadership and operational coordination. We are also continuously working to develop command and control mechanisms to ensure that military capabilities are directed toward clear and common objectives. As for the joint operations room, it is already established and not a product of recent developments; it has accumulated experience over the past years in coordination, operational linking, information exchange, and monitoring the progress of operations among various forces and formations. Today, this coordination has become more effective; each force and unit has its specific tasks and roles, ensuring the integration of military efforts and limiting duplication and conflicting tasks. The matter for us lies in building a command and coordination system that makes the diversity of forces a source of strength, as everyone works within a single national objective and a common military vision.
• Are you not afraid of a retreat on some fronts?
•• War is inherently a back-and-forth affair, sometimes imposing maneuvers and military tactics, but fear is not in the vocabulary of our armed forces nor in the vocabulary of our people. We trust in the vigilance of our men and their valor in the battlefield, and we understand that any tactical retreat on any front does not mean losing the battle; rather, it may necessitate rearranging the cards, reassessing the situation, and regaining the initiative at the right time. A strong will, clarity of purpose, and its justice are sufficient to overcome various challenges. Today, all fronts and military formations possess significant capabilities to engage in battle, and they have become more organized, trained, and ready, with the ability to deal with field challenges, even to take the initiative, advance, and achieve victories. Therefore, the fears implied in the question do not find justification in our field reality; rather, the existing data reinforce our confidence that the coming phase will witness further progress and victories in various regions. There is also a great readiness for collective and simultaneous movement from various fronts, which will force the Houthis to deal with multiple pressures at once, limiting their ability to concentrate their capabilities on a single front while benefiting from the cessation of other fronts. Additionally, the multiplicity of confrontation axes will make Iranian qualitative support more difficult to deploy in a concentrated manner in one direction. Consequently, the Houthis will continue to fight, and Iran will continue to support them, but we trust in God first, then in our forces and our men, and in their sincerity, loyalty, steadfastness, and commitment. This trust is based on what we see of vigilance, readiness, and cohesion across various fronts. With God's permission, we will overcome this project that has brought nothing but more suffering, destruction, and bloodshed to our country, and the will of the Yemenis to restore their state, security, and stability will prevail.
The Vigilant Ones are a Pride for All the Honorable
• What is your message to the heroes of the armed forces?
•• My message to my sons and brothers stationed at the borders of the homeland and on various fronts: You are a pride for all the honorable in this nation, and a symbol of its dignity and honor. The sacrifices, dedication, and courage you demonstrate are highly appreciated and valued by your people and leadership. Continue your steadfastness, hold on to your responsibilities, and know that your sacrifices will not go in vain, and history will remember what you offer for your homeland and its security and stability. We salute you and highly value the heroics you are writing in the field, the achievements you are realizing, and the efforts you are exerting in confronting the Houthis. What you achieve confirms your steadfastness, strong presence, and ability to deal with various field challenges, and it is a source of pride and honor for all of us. Today’s phase requires raising readiness to its highest levels, tightening vigilance, enhancing discipline and morale, increasing the level of coordination and integration among various units and formations, and complete readiness to deal with various developments, executing directives and assigned tasks efficiently and responsibly. You are now facing a noble battle and a great responsibility to regain areas from the control of the terrorist Houthi militias, and this requires every fighter to be highly responsible and for everyone to maintain steadfastness, high morale, and self-confidence and confidence in their comrades in arms. We are confident that you are capable of these tasks and able to create a turning point that changes the balance of power, imposes a new reality in areas under Houthi control, liberates its people from the oppression of the terrorist Houthi militias, and restores security and stability to them.
• What have you provided for the displaced fleeing from the hell of the Houthi militias?
•• The file of the displaced and forcibly displaced persons is a humanitarian and moral priority for the council and the government. We have harnessed various available resources, in coordination with local authorities in the liberated provinces, which have rushed from the first moment and made great efforts to provide shelter, basic services, and security for these citizens. We are also continuously working with international organizations and the international community to alleviate the suffering of millions who have been displaced from their homes due to the oppression of the Houthi militias. The displaced who fled from the oppression of the Houthi militias are our people, and dealing with their suffering is the responsibility of the state and all its institutions. We are monitoring their conditions through the relevant ministries and government agencies, and the local authorities in the capital Aden and the provinces of Lahij and Abyan, to work on providing their most essential and necessary needs. The relevant authorities have taken practical measures that include receiving and registering the displaced, assessing their needs, providing shelter, securing food, water, and health services, and facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid, alongside providing protection and monitoring the conditions of the most needy families. Local authorities are also working in coordination with humanitarian organizations and supporting entities, including the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Works, which has contributed to providing food assistance to displaced families. The work of the relevant authorities continues in organizing camps, monitoring the level of services, and addressing urgent needs, to alleviate the suffering of these families and preserve their dignity and their right to a safe and stable life.
• What is required from the international community and organizations to help the displaced face the difficult conditions they are living in?
•• What is required is to move from a position of condemnation and limited humanitarian support to practical and sustainable steps, including adequately funding humanitarian response plans, pressuring the Houthi militias to stop looting aid and lifting the siege, and most importantly, supporting the government’s efforts to restore the state, as this is a fundamental solution to end the humanitarian crisis and prepare the conditions for the dignified and safe return of the displaced to their homes. The international community and humanitarian organizations are also required to double the support provided to the displaced, as the scale of need is greater than the available resources currently. The displaced need real and continuous support in food, water, healthcare, shelter, and education, alongside supporting local authorities that bear the greatest burden in receiving these families and providing them with essential services. There is also an urgent need for sustainable funding for humanitarian programs, accelerating the delivery of aid to those in need, and prioritizing the most needy families, especially children and women, alongside supporting projects that help the displaced become self-reliant and improve their living conditions. At the same time, the international community must address the root of the problem and the source of the suffering of the displaced, which lies in the terrorist Houthi militias that continue to displace populations from their areas due to their oppression and violations against them, forcing families to leave their homes and areas in search of safer places. Therefore, the international community must stand by the government in protecting civilians and exert more pressure to deter the Houthi militias and stop their practices that lead to continued displacement, alongside supporting humanitarian response efforts, so that the displaced do not remain prisoners of an open crisis, but rather have the conditions that guarantee them a dignified life and a safe and stable return to their homes.
• How do you view the Iranian role and its intervention in Yemen and its support for the Houthi militia?
•• The Iranian regime plays a destructive role in Yemen through its support for the Houthi militia and its coup against state institutions. This is a blatant aggressive intervention in the affairs of a sovereign independent state, as it has gone beyond supporting a terrorist group that destroys and destabilizes Yemen's security and stability to the presence of Iranian Revolutionary Guard military personnel, experts, leaders, and advisors, and Iranian facilities for manufacturing missiles, drones, and explosive boats, operating and launching them from Yemeni territory under Houthi control. Iran uses these capabilities to execute military operations that serve its interests and regional agenda, exploiting the Houthi militias as a tool to achieve its goals at the expense of the Yemeni people, Yemen's sovereignty, and the security of the region. The leaders of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard have taken control of the militias and make decisions regarding their war, even leading them on the battlefield in their attacks on Yemeni areas and cities. We all know the importance of Bab al-Mandab and the Red Sea as passages for international navigation, and their significance in Iranian calculations; Iran seeks to use this strategic location as leverage against the international community, threatening international trade and navigation routes, serving its interests in its conflicts and private calculations. Therefore, the recent attacks targeting Bab al-Mandab and the islands in the Red Sea are Iranian attacks and require a firm international stance to support Yemen in its battle to regain its lands from Iranian control and its local tool, the Houthi militias.
The Iranian Project Will Be Broken
• Do you not think it is possible to break the Houthis' power and expel the Iranians from Yemen? How can this be achieved?
•• Certainly, the power of this project will be broken, and liberating Yemen from it is inevitable, possible, and very necessary. This can be achieved through key factors, the most important of which are: First: the cohesion and unification of the national ranks, setting aside side disputes, and directing efforts toward the common national goal. Second: building and equipping the military institution, providing the necessary qualitative support to enable it to decisively resolve the battle and regain areas under the control of the Houthi militias. Third: benefiting from successful models in defeating this group, especially in the south, the western coast, and the districts of Shabwa, as well as what has been achieved in terms of resilience on many fronts, alongside evaluating the mistakes that led to previous failures and working to address them and ensure they are not repeated. Fourth: integrating and extending strategic partnerships with our brothers in the Arab coalition and the international community to dry up the sources of Iranian support and implement relevant international resolutions, foremost among them Resolution 2216. Defeating the Houthi militias and breaking their power is unavoidable, and today it is closer than ever. These militias are destined for extinction, and the Yemeni people and their military forces possess the resilience and will necessary to end their project. With the growing popular rejection of their practices and violations, today’s battle is one of will and steadfastness, to regain areas from the control of the terrorist Houthi militias that have wreaked havoc, burdening the Yemeni people with violations and destruction. This will be achieved through uniting ranks, coordinating efforts, and continuous collaboration among military forces on the battlefronts, alongside popular support for the armed forces, and a clear and firm international stance to support the state in its battle for salvation from a group linked to the Iranian project that threatens the interests and stability of the entire international community.
• What is your message to the Yemeni people in all provinces?
•• My message to the sons of the Yemeni people in all provinces, in the liberated areas and those still under the control of the coup plotters: Trust that relief is coming, that oppression and tyranny will come to an end, and that your steadfastness, patience, and resistance are the flame that lights our path. We promise you that we will spare no effort until we restore the state, achieve a just and sustainable peace that preserves your dignity and freedom, ends your suffering, and ensures that everyone lives equally without any discrimination. This phase requires all of us to remain steadfast, cooperate, and unite our ranks, for the Houthi militias are the enemy of all, and their project does not exclude anyone. Therefore, we must unify our efforts and harness them to overcome this enemy and stand by the state and the forces responsible for confronting it and its Iranian-backed project. We recognize the magnitude of the suffering endured by citizens, especially in areas under Houthi control, during the years of the unjust Houthi war, and we understand that the Yemeni citizen wants security, stability, and a decent life. Therefore, our battle is fundamentally to end this suffering, restore the state, and prepare the conditions for a safe and stable return to normal life, so that citizens can enjoy it in all areas. I say to the citizens: Be highly confident, for victory is made by the will of the people and the steadfastness of its men. Today, what is required is to rally around the armed forces, support them, stand by them, and provide assistance and backing to its heroes in this noble battle; the battle for liberation from Houthi terrorism and its tyrannical project and from its supporters in Iran.
