Saudi Arabia is witnessing an increasing presence of digital government services in the details of daily life, ranging from remote education and electronic medical consultations to completing government transactions via smartphones. With this expansion, the importance of ensuring the continuity of these services and their availability to beneficiaries at all times becomes evident.
Integration of Roles
The researcher in digital communication and media, as well as a technical and economic content creator, Fawzan Saeed Shousha Al-Thubaiti, confirmed that the Saudi experience relies on the integration of the roles of the Digital Government Authority, "SDAIA," and the National Cybersecurity Authority, which contributes to data protection and ensures service continuity.
He explained that this integration has contributed to the transition from the automation phase to the phase of engineering the digital experience, which places the beneficiary at the core of attention.
Flexibility and Proactivity
He indicated that the readiness and continuity of digital services have become a security and communication dimension that goes beyond mere procedural digitization, noting that any disruption in services could extend its impact to daily life, supply chains, and levels of public trust.
He mentioned that flexibility and proactivity represent the most prominent factors of strength in the digital system, especially with the increasing reliance on electronic services around the clock, making the stability of systems and their ability to operate without interruption a key factor in enhancing reliability.
