ألقى الأمين العام لرابطة العالم الإسلامي، رئيس هيئة علماء المسلمين، الشيخ الدكتور محمد بن عبدالكريم العيسى الكلمةَ الافتتاحية لفعالية المفوَّضية السامية للأمم المتحدة لشؤون اللاجئين بوصفه ضيف الشرف باسم رابطة العالم الإسلامي، وذلك بحضور رئيس المفوضية وعدد من المشاركين الدوليين.
جاء ذلك ضمن إسهام المفوضية في الدورة «الحادية والثمانين» للأسبوع رفيعِ المستوى، للجمعية العامّة بالأمم المتحدة، في نيويورك.
وقد أبرز العيسى أهميةَ العمل الخيري في الإسلام، مبيِّنًا خصائصه ومزاياه التشريعية، ومؤكِّداً أهميةَ عمله المؤسسي المُحَوْكَم.
وأوضح جهودَ رابطة العالم الإسلامي في دعْم العمل الخيري، وتعزيزِه، والاهتمامِ بحوكمتِهِ وتنسيقه؛ بالتعاون المباشر مع الجانب الحكومي في كل دولة، مُثنِياً على التعاون في شأنه مع المفوَّضية السامية للأمم المتحدة لشؤون اللاجئين، بخاصة، وعموم منظمات الأمم المتحدة ذات الصلة بعامة.
The Secretary-General of the Muslim World League, President of the Assembly of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa delivered the opening speech for the event of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees as the guest of honor on behalf of the Muslim World League, in the presence of the Commissioner and several international participants.
This took place as part of the Commission's contribution to the "81st" session of the high-level week of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
Al-Issa highlighted the importance of charitable work in Islam, outlining its characteristics and legislative advantages, and emphasizing the significance of its well-structured institutional work.
He explained the efforts of the Muslim World League in supporting charitable work, enhancing it, and focusing on its governance and coordination; in direct cooperation with the governmental side in each country, praising the collaboration with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in particular, and with all relevant United Nations organizations in general.
