التقى المستشار بالديوان الملكي المشرف العام على مركز الملك سلمان للإغاثة والأعمال الإنسانية الدكتور عبدالله بن عبدالعزيز الربيعة أمس (الثلاثاء)، المفوض العام بالإنابة لوكالة الأمم المتحدة لإغاثة وتشغيل اللاجئين الفلسطينيين في الشرق الأدنى «الأونروا» كريستيان سوندرز، وذلك على هامش أعمال الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة في دورتها الـ81 المنعقدة في مدينة نيويورك.
وبحث الجانبان خلال اللقاء الموضوعات المتعلقة بالشؤون الإغاثية والإنسانية، ومستجدات العمل الإنساني في قطاع غزة.
وعبر كريستيان سوندرز عن شكره الجزيل للمملكة ممثلة بذراعها الإنساني مركز الملك سلمان للإغاثة على مجمل المساعدات الإنسانية والإغاثية المقدمة للشعب الفلسطيني وعلى دعمه للأونروا، منوهًا بالعلاقة الإستراتيجية التي تجمع المركز بالوكالة.
The advisor at the Royal Court and General Supervisor of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabiah, met yesterday (Tuesday) with the Acting Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), Christian Saunders, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly held in New York City.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed issues related to humanitarian and relief affairs, as well as the latest developments in humanitarian work in the Gaza Strip.
Christian Saunders expressed his deep gratitude to the Kingdom, represented by its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, for all the humanitarian and relief assistance provided to the Palestinian people and for its support to UNRWA, highlighting the strategic relationship that connects the center with the agency.
