حل النزاعات بالوسائل السلمية
وأضاف وزيرالخارجية، أن المملكة، في ظل التطورات الراهنة في المنطقة، تؤكد ضرورة التمسك بمبادئ القانون الدولي التي تشدد على احترام سيادة الدول، وحل النزاعات بالوسائل السلمية، وضمان سلامة وحرية الملاحة في الممرات المائية الدولية، بما يحفظ أمن الدول كافة ويحقق تطلعات شعوبها. وأشار وزير الخارجية إلى أن المملكة تولي في مشاركتها لهذا العام اهتماماً كبيراً بالتنمية المستدامة، وفي مقدمتها تقنيات الذكاء الاصطناعي، وكيفية الاستفادة منها بصورة مسؤولة لتطوير القطاعات ورفع كفاءتها، ودعم الابتكار، بما يحقق عوائد ملموسة على الشعوب، بالتزامن مع تسمية المملكة عام 2026 عاماً للذكاء الاصطناعي.
أكد وزير الخارجية الأمير فيصل بن فرحان بن عبدالله، أن مشاركة المملكة العربية السعودية، في أعمال الأسبوع الرفيع المستوى للجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة في دورتها الـ81 لهذا العام، تأتي امتداداً لنهج المملكة في التفاعل مع المجتمع الدولي، ومواصلة دورها في دعم السلم والأمن الدوليين، وتفعيل الحوار والوساطة، والإسهام في مواجهة التحديات المشتركة.
تعزيز التعاون لمواجهة الأزمات
وقال وزير الخارجية، في تصريح صحفي، إن المملكة تنظر إلى أعمال الدورة، المنعقدة تحت شعار «استعادة الثقة وإدارة التحول.. أمم متحدة تلبي تطلعات الجميع»، باعتبارها فرصة لتجديد التأكيد على المبادئ التي أنشئت من أجلها المؤسسات الدولية، وفي مقدمتها الأمم المتحدة، المتمثلة في اضطلاعها بدورها في إحلال الأمن والسلام، وترسيخ القوانين والأعراف الدولية، وتعزيز التعاون الدولي في مواجهة الأزمات.
Conflict Resolution through Peaceful Means
The Foreign Minister added that the Kingdom, in light of the current developments in the region, reaffirms the necessity of adhering to the principles of international law that emphasize respect for the sovereignty of states, resolving disputes through peaceful means, and ensuring the safety and freedom of navigation in international waterways, which preserves the security of all nations and fulfills the aspirations of their peoples. The Foreign Minister pointed out that this year, the Kingdom is placing significant emphasis on sustainable development, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence technologies, and how to responsibly utilize them to develop sectors and enhance their efficiency, while supporting innovation to yield tangible benefits for the peoples, coinciding with the Kingdom's designation of 2026 as the Year of Artificial Intelligence.
Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah confirmed that the participation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the high-level week of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly this year is an extension of the Kingdom's approach to engaging with the international community, continuing its role in supporting international peace and security, activating dialogue and mediation, and contributing to addressing common challenges.
Enhancing Cooperation to Address Crises
The Foreign Minister stated in a press statement that the Kingdom views the proceedings of the session, held under the theme "Restoring Trust and Managing Transformation... A United Nations that Meets Everyone's Aspirations," as an opportunity to renew the commitment to the principles for which international institutions were established, foremost among them the United Nations, represented in its role in establishing security and peace, reinforcing international laws and norms, and enhancing international cooperation in addressing crises.
